So a guy died at our resort today....

A ski instructors husband died today at our resort....he was skiing with his kids when his heart stopped i guess....my best friends dad had to give him cpr because he is ski patrol...the sad thing is his kids were there the whole time...like what would happen if you were skiing with your dad and he died....
 
i would rather hear of someone landing on their head and dieing instantly then hearing a story of a father dieing infront of his two little kids any day
 
minus the part that atleast it happend at a place im sure he loved the ski hill, that is the mos hotid storey involveing skiing so far this year. In front of his kids, dang
 
a guy at my uni died in an avalance in tignes france in december - he was out with his younger brother. slightly different but he died from a heart attack after suffucating on snow - ony 22 years old :(
 
same shit happened at my hill with a girl at my school, some serious shit, crazy. cool way to go out tho on the mountain i'd like to go out thrown a a double back off of a 130ft cliff while heli skiing, think that would be ultimate
 
a old man at a hill I used to ski got in the chairlift alone and was dead when he reached the top. We said he took the chairway to heaven, He was like 75 so it was more funny than sad
 
some drunk amish guy did that at the resort I ski at. pretty scarey, mainly because we had been throwing pretty big stuff all day before that had happend. he actually died on impact. they brought in a heli and it was there like 4 hours later when i left.

This is really sad. I mean that.

I really could not imagine a worse way for a young childs day to go as to be skiing with his/her father and watch him collapse and pass.

Today there may have also been a death at Whistler/Blackcomb as Patrol was performing CPR on a victim at the base. I can only hope that this life was saved, although unlikely (a few years in major trauma leads me to this conclusion) and I grieve for this persons family and their loss.

It is always a sad day when someone who just came out to enjoy the gifts that mother nature has offered is taken.
 
damn, thats rough. My mom was working at the country club 2 summers ago, and there was a banquet going on and the speaker at the podium, all of a sudden just fell over inthe middle of his speach.. had a heartattack and died.

But RIP for sure...thats really terrible.
 
2 heart attacks, 2 slid into trees/rocks, 1 went 130 ft off a 40 foot jump and the other one was a patroller that got caught in an avalanche in the backcountry.
 
this guy was hikin up the hill where i go to watch his kid race and he died of a heart attack...his daught was hikin up with him...pretty sad
 
wow people should pray for the families and especially the children thats terrible....not as serious but im typing from saratoga hospital right now room 322 on my second ruptured splean accident c box this time...fuckin sucks my seasons over if you live close to here or know me call or stop on by lol tonights my last night here. and again my condolences to the family of the man who died.
