Hey Folks,

I've just joined NS as I'm going to break into park skiing after shredding all-mountain for the past couple of years.

For people who ski in Washington --> what's the community like at the summit? Are people down to help a newbie, or will I have to go into hiding when all the ballers come out?

I probably suck, but I'm not going to be afraid to try new things. Any advice that will help pre-season to get ready for some park action would be great. Any links to popular tutorials would also be great.

Thanks!

God you are a fucking dickshit nobody cares about you god damn newbs. Why the fuck are you at snocompton anyways? Do you think you are some kind of 209 technine dumpster jibbing thug? Get the fuck out of here and go back to maine until you learn how to ski a 10 degree slope you cumgobbler~

Man, there are some new insults that I'm going to enjoy employing at some point. I've never been to Maine, but I hear it's nice.

Thanks for your informative and mature response.

You know what a mature response from you would be? Quitting before we gobble your balls up and you can't go back to your peaceful old self~

Welcome to our hood. I see you met Scott already. Go to Stevens instead of Snocompton. You will not regret it. Wherever you go, find a crew of people who are better than you and try a bunch of shit.

What the heck? Do NOT go to Stevens, it's the worst mountain ever. It only rains. And there are a million gapers there.

Skiers at the summit are nice but sometimes they're dicks and think they're uber beast. The boarders are almost 100% douchebags and they snake you and have no park etiquette at all. You know how you should wait til you see the person who just hit something ride out? Yeah well people here don't ever do that so if you wait for the person to ride out to go, then you'll get like 5 people either yelling at you to go or going before you, and if you go right after someone lands then everyones like "what a dick, what if that guy fell?" and if in fact the guy did fall then he'll try to fight you.

So long story short, it sucks. You'll definitely want a little crew.

This is kid is not a tourist and actually lives here, so I don't think the WTSCC applies here.

Only if you're 12 and have to ride on the weekends only. You can get a hand job on Brooks because of the time vs. the same amount of time you have to stand in line and then go up Sky and then down the chutes.

Riding Sky with a bunch of ritards?

OR

A hand job on Brooks?

That's why you tuck a handwarmer in between you balls and your shaft. It doesn't stay at first, but once everything REALLY heats up, the sweat will hold it in place.

I mean, if you want to show me sometime it'd be easier to visualize.

Either way, crystal > stevens

Lol, crystal. If you like the typical "resort", crystal is good.

I would take stevens over crystal any day.

The only thing I like better about stevens is the park. I like the terrain better at crystal, and the snow is always better. And that's obviously not the inbounds.

True. The terrain at crystal is pretty sweet some fun, super easy to access bc terrain.

But hey i got that at baker and i like the people up here a lot more.

Yeah, I love baker! The amount of snow plus that BC access at the top make it SO worth it. If only I lived closer...
