Snowmobiles

I have been saving for the last 2 years to get a sled. I sold my atv and i am going to get a sled. I was looking at the RMK and Phazer, but for those of you that know about sleds what input do you have?

Haha, i made a thread with the exact same title as this a few days ago. I rode my friends mountaincat 900 its killer.

thats all i know though, and also sage cattabriga has that sled, so its gotta be aight.

where you at? peep my sled... for sale...

for 3 g's you should be able to get a descent sled about 98'-01' go for at least a 600 with at least a 136" track...

Dont get the Phazer unless you are less than 150 lbs or you dont want to climb anything steep (a 14" wide track with only 80 horsies wont get you far)

I got my 700 RMK at the beginning of the year for $3 gs and I love it

If it were up to me and money was no option I'd get the new REV XP... it will change the sport.

check out an RMK. where are you going to be riding, and how big are you? both of these will dictate the track length you should check out. the big ones (162ish) are sick if you can handle it and the smaller ones (153) are badass if you're a smaller dude. anyway, my buddy had a 2 year old 900 RMK in a 156 length, and it tore the fuck outta utah. i'm a polaris fan.

haha yeah you'll spend a good portion of your first few rides digging your ass out. try to ride with people better than you so you improve quicker... and so you have a couple extra folks to help digging.

i rode the rmk 550, i think thats what it was. it was a fan and surprisingly it was pretty snappy so i would go with one of the liquid cooled rmks for sure.

I've got an Apex Mountain....RX10MW. I know it's not a Phazer or RMK, but being as to how Yamaha did a damn good job with the RX10, I would assume the Phazer is unbelievable.

all about the bombardiers......RMKs are wide and hard to handle...the narrowest sled is ski-doo summit...most reliable i think too...GET ONE Rmks break down too much

phazers have half the horse power and are the same weight as the rmk and and skidoo. i rode one for 10 min and hated every min of it. skidoo revs are the shit. rmks arnt bad either but go for the skidoo for sure.

no, and you are going to regret your user name choice in about 2 months. and we just call them snowmobiles, or sleds

RMK's dont come in 156 or 158 did you do an extention?

RMK's are at least 2-4 inches narrower than the equivalent REV

If you need details PM me I work at a Polaris/Ski Doo Dealership...

REV's ride the best, but RMK's break down the least... POlaris motors are bomb proof, mines been underwater twice this season and its all good and hasnt even been rebuilt

We see the REV's in our shop ALL THE TIME!

what you need is a ski doo summit REV, best mountain sled on the market hands down. Excellent power to weight ratio at around 150 horses and 475lbs (800cc). All other sled companies play catch up with ski doo, especially with their new 08' XP mountain sleds. Where and what you ride will determine what sled you need. cheers.

Yo dude i got a 95 phazer, I don't know what your talkin about, mine strait up hauls ass, and climbs great too. I believe i've done 90 mph, if the speedo is correct. It gets me there. I think he would do just fine with a phazer, dopest sled ever made for sure.

why would you sell your quad now to buy a sled? why not buy a decent quad and just get a beater sled or two?

Switch maffah... we were talking about new phazers... they are completely different from the older ones... personally I prefer the older ones because they have ALOT more power, but they weigh over 100 pounds more than the new ones

The new ones which came out last year are only 450 lbs dry, but only have 80hp

Yours weighs roughly 550 dry, but it has about 110 hp

also: the older ones had a 15" wide track... the new ones 14"

If you have 10 g's just go to a dealership and get an XP... they will change the industry.
