huh?!? dude my family does close to 2000 miles in one season if we go to canada
as for the 2 stroke vs 4 stroke debate, doesnt really matter unless your racing.  they both do the same thing, i love my dads new 4 stroke, pulls smooth and hard as a son-beotch, plus its not as anoyying as the 2-SMOKES. but maitenence on the 2 strokes is cake, but we havent had any problems with the 4-stroke so far.
BOTTOM LINE::
get a newer chassis, as long as you get the "Rev" (skidoo) chassis or any of the other companies versions that came out after that your back will thank you
