has anyone made a smowmakeing gun for their house, if so what did u use and did it work well

I used a gun called a mini sm4 snowgun. The gun is very simple to make and maintain and the plans for it can be viewed here: http://ceremuga.com/SM4mini.html

Basically all you need is an air compressor that runs at least 5 cfm @ 90 psi and a pressure washer that runs water at 1300-1500 psi. Then you have a garden hose that hooks up to the air compressor and the other end of it hooks up to the snow gun. Then all you need now is a water source and you hook the pressure washer up to a facet with a normal garden hose and you connect a pressue washer hose from the pressur washer to the gun. Then you turn it all on and open up the nucleating valve very slightly. When you open it up this allows water to mix with air in a 3:1 air to water ratio. The air serves as both the nucleus of the snowcrystal and also breaks up the water particles into VERY tiny droplets so that when frozen it turns into snow. When the top nozzle water and bottom nozzle nuc (air mixed with water) mix which causes the small snow crystals to grow bigger and then eventually freeze while falling to the ground.

This past winter was my fisrt year making snow and my gun was extremely efficent. I could lay down 24 inches in a matter of 10 hours in an area of 10' wide by 30' long

^^^^^^^You need to be loaded to get the backyard blizzard. It costs around $1500. My home snowmaking setup which was all made by me only costed me about $250
