Snowgel

Looks cool and everything, but...

They don't mention how long it lasts. Could be an hour could be a day or more... I'd really like to know... but chances are it can't last too long, otherwise they wouldn't make much money.

Probably not worth the 20 bucks for every time, I'd rather just use snow fence...

For some reason I think I have seen that before, but I am not sure. Whatever, that looks cool, but it dosen't look like much. It has to be better than nothing though.

I did. They go a little in depth but no real information on how long it lasts or any key stuff like that.

That's way too expensive, unless it lasts a super long time. There wasn't much there when he was done.

ima make a bunch of the green stuff one day, put it in my backyard and see if the city council comes to take away the nuclear waste in my backyard

i emailed them about life of gel, here

Good question. That depends on how well you take care of it. If you ride on it one day and just leave it there, it won't last very long. But, if you cover it up or contain it after use then it will last a lot longer. As long as you don't let it totally dry out, you can add water a few more times to bring it back to life. the best way to preserve the SnowGel is to cover it when not in use.

so basically, i'm guessing you could have it for 3 solid weekends striaght if you covered it with tarp and added water every day or few days. doesn't seem too bad

so if you were using it for an urban you could pick it back up and put it in the bucket and save some for later? sweet

ya it looks cool, and covering it with a tarp wouldn't be too hard. but how would it last in the summer when it's like 90 degrees i wonder?

seems fine, seems more like a chemical compound kinda thing, rather then cold/snowish stuff. so i dont think it will "melt" but more over crust over or dry up. adding some water shoudl help. i will deffinitily give this a try this summer

it does not work well at all!

save your money. it does look exactly like snow, but it does not slide well at all. wet carpet, or a tarp both slide way better.

I have a backyard jib setup, and all i use is the shizit they make boxes out of and all you need to do is add water to it to make it slide every once in a while and it never melts or nuthin. That was a bit expensive tho...

I believe its some sort of foam that comes in a little powder and when water is added it swells to like 100 times its original size. I bought a little tube of it at a toy store once. It was really cool to take a little pinch of it and have it fill a cup that was 1/4 full of water. It really looked like real snow too. It seemed slippery but it doesn't pack like so it wouldn't behave like snow at all. When the stuff dries out it just shrinks back down and you can reuse it as long as you can collect it again.

Well its only supposed to be used as a slippery surface to ski on, not to build jumps.

Looks real sick to me.

i know what you are talking about...we use that stuff in the sensory tables at the daycare i work at...thats just the same stuff thats in baby diapers...i dont know if its the same as snowgel but maybe...

has anyone used it? if there's good reviews i might get some. Right now it sounds like a waste of money.

not if u like pick it up and keep it in containers between sessions. then u could probably go a month w/o having to buy more

i messaged the company. its expensive. like upwards of 3000 for certain sheets. you cant buy little ammounts
