I hope everyone has their 1620s and switch misty 1440s on lock because Alpine will be hosting next week's Snowbomb Big Air Contest.

We will be providing event coverage... and free dranks (while supplies last, which will not be long)

So come by and say "what up" or just mean mug and after bang the shit out of everything.

  • Helmets are required at all events!
  • A $10 deposit will be taken for contest jerseys.
  • Registration for Open Class (competing for cash!) is $20.
  • Registration for Amateur Class (competing for gear!) is $10.
  • All skiers and snowboards

competing in the Toyota Sick n’ Twisted Freestyle Tour must sign and

complete all liability releases the day of the event during

registration. (Anyone under the age of 18 wishing to compete must

have a parent/guardian on hand at registration, the day of the event,

to sign and complete all liability forms).

  • Registration is normally from 9:00 am to 10:30 am sharp. No

registrations will be allowed after 10:30 am. Practice is usually from

10:30 am until 11:30 am and the events are scheduled to start around

    noon each day.
  • For more information on the tour, registration and liability forms or events please email info@snowbomb.com.

Yeah.... my bad. So this is confusing, but it says that they'll have Big Air at Homewood on February 20th, but, then on the front page of Snowbomb, it says that it's Feb 15th (TODAY). Anyone know when it really is?

yo this was a pretty fun comp, kinda more like a medium air, but still a good time. i saw a couple kids GTS'in, any footy from that? or were you guys just filmin for buddies' season edits or somethin? either way, a fun day. any word on the snowboard that hooked his back edge on takeoff and got taken out? looked gnarly.

THIS

Saturday: Biggest BIG Air! Come on out to compete for hundreds in cash prizes and

gear! First place mens open prize is $500 for both skiing and snowboarding. Check out the SnowBomb site for more details and complete schedule: http://www.snowbomb.com/community/events/

Also on deck is the Squaw Valley Slopestyle on April 3rd....

deposit

that will be returned after the event. All minors must be

register minors

info@snowbomb.com.

Good luck & think snow!

So it's at Alpine? This will be sick. I'm kinda pissed I won't have my stills camera with me this weekend... video time?!?

That looks so insane! I'm fucking pissed that every weekend, some crazy circumstance comes up and prevents me from being able to go up.

I didn't get a TON of footage today... mostly cuz I was having a plenty good time slappin' dubstep at the top of the inrun, but here are some of the shots I got today:

Sorry...that video was awful. Here's another with the jumps slowed up a bit so you can see the nastiness from the lens of my wee camera:

Do Toyota or Snowbomb think "Sick n' Twisted" is actually a good name for a comp? I'm surprised the word "extreme" isn't thrown in there somewhere.

How about the "Snowbomb Sick n' Twisted Extreme Doritos Big Air with Mountain Dew" comp?

Hey Toyota and Snowbomb - welcome to the year 2010. Using phrases like "Sick n' Twisted" isn't cool anymore.

Hey tandan83- complaining about shit isn't cool anymore.

They could call it Snowbomb Extreme-Rad Sick and Twisted Toyota Dorito Big Air competition and people would still enter and have a good time.

Actually, I think they should call it the Snowbomb Extreme-Rad Sick and Twisted Toyota Dorito Big Aircompetition. That would make it all the more extreme and rad, and I can guarantee it would be a shit ton of fun.

Don't be such a negative nancy.

This is not NSG, but I can make it if you'd like...

Of course I am familiar with the way NS works, but just because everyone complains about everything doesn't mean you have to complain that the name of a competition doesn't cater specifically to Newschoolers' fetishes.

That it isn't called the Snowbomb Steezy Afterbang Big Air doesn't mean it needs to be changed.

what are you eight? grow up. who the fuck cares if the name is dumb. the comp was sick. and there was an ok cash purse. you are the most pessimistic person ive seen on here so just shut up.

Another point I'd like to make. Sick 'n' Twisted HAS been around for...well pretty much since I ever owned a pair of twin tip skis. Over years, they've managed to brand themselves in the Tahoe area, so changing the name at this point would kill the branding they've spent years creating.

Secondly, yeah they have pulled some corporate sponsors and they name drop brands all day long, but hey, as long as they are putting together events that put the athletes first, then quit yer bitchin'.
