Snowboards in park!!!

snowboards do blow- but they advanced park skiing so much. There wouldn't be parksright now if it wern't for them
 
shut the fuck up!! skiing has its advantages just as much as snowboarding does in every situation- snowboarders have soooo much more steez most of the time there are only a few skiers who are as steezy as all the snowboarders!!!!
 
in our park there are a million snowboarders that get in the way and seeing how there is only a handful that are decent it gets annoying really fast.
 
Here this will solve everything: Just make everything a death gap. So all the pussy riders and skiers that destroy the jumps won't hit them.
 
I dont understand why there are snowboarders on this site at all seeing that it is skiings online community. You won't find me in some snowboarder forum. If you are a snowboarder and you have the skill and experience to actually ride the park well and responsibly, than I respect you. But like switchskier88* said, outside of small mountain communities, kids still think snowboarding is "hip" so they go to the park and do the arm wag shit off the jumps and slide down the landing.

ATTENTION ALL SNOWBOARDERS: feel free to go in the parks, but plz, for the love of un-icy and smooth landings, learn how to snowboard first.

i might have found one of the reasons why snowboarders hate skiiers. when i was in the park and they were all strapping in, we just went infront of them and went through. after about 10 runs of doing this (our park is mad small)some guy ramdomly goes "come on guys..try to respect the park lineup" he said this as he was strapping in so aparently they think they are in the lineup when they are strapping in
 
as much as this is kinda against what i always say it depends on the boarders i ride with heaps of boarders and i board myself adn they are all the dopest riders on the hill(im not just saying that they are VOLCOM DC ENDEVOUR) anyway once i was riding with my boarder mate who is supepr dope and i went down to tyeh park and left him to strap in as i went through i just skied past the congregation of skiers adn boarders taht sit at the top of the park sontemplating how much its gunna hurt when they crash trying to go straight onto a box and straight off. i hit all the features really fast adn got in noones way then as i was waiting down the bottom this total punter boarder struggles his way up with his two equally as punter mates. He then proceeddes to abuse me about cutting him and his mates off and ruining thier "film shoot" i couldnt help but laughed and pass it off as funny. so they started saying how the park is for boarders only and they were gunna tel ski patrol so i laughed even harder. then my mate on his board rocked up and they were all in awe coz he is rockin all sposor gear and just back lip tail pressed the urban style down bar. and says what up...tey think hes on thier side and start saying the same shit about the the whole me cuttin em off adn shit...and my mate just goes na buddy i saw you you scorpioned behind him you didnt even make it to the box man get over yourself dude.....so we went off and after lunch i took the board out and saw the same guys and front board tailed the box they were trying to 50 50(and failing) then they were mondo cut and i felt so good about myself....

imagine that, snowboarders in what most people still call snowboard parks, wow. fuck, if it wasn't for boarders we wouldn't have parks, so shut up and have some respect.
 
one thing i hate is when im talking about skiing someone walks up and says,"u ski? are u gay are something?" and the funny park is other skiers and me can throw down just as big shit as the snowboarders can.

the only snow related problems i have d snowboarders are when they hack holes in the middle of the pipe by the way they land making the pipe go past vert, and the bastards that heel slide down your faveriot run on a fucking powder day, that shits me the most if u cant use it properly dont heel side slip it and fuck it up for those who can use it
 
snow boards tend to wash out the landings or rails and jump when they stop and then it leaves it all icy and bullshit like that
 
Thats why I love my park so far. Its one of the highest spots on the mountain ( Is not a super big mountain but the park is way up there). There are no easy features in the park right now, they didn't even have a temp set up, and there is a dirty long stinky cat track you take out from the bottom of the park. It is pretty much 2 k. It funnels out anyone not willing to ride the park, I love it.

1/3 of all people (when Polled) say that they 'ride' a Snowboard

1/2 of all resort ticket revenue is from people Snowboarding

Even the new "shaped/parabolic" ski tech revolution is a result of Snowboard ingenuity.

Lets all be friends, we all fuck up the park and its never going to be perfect. Newschool skiing and snowboarding are equally sic, so lets just end this damn debate and move on.
 
my local hill, I can probably snowboard better than 3/4 of the riders there and they look at me like I'm an alien when I do the rails that I helped build and setup... fools
 
at my local mtn there are like 50 boarders to 1 skier in the park, and well thats just fine...sure the newbs are annoying but the newb skiers i hate even more because they represent skiing, so when i see a five year old skier and a five year old snowboarder i dont only tell the boarder to get out i tell them both. and then when it comes to good snowboarders...skiing and boarding are equally cool, we own on jumps they own on rails. i mean we did get tricks like rodeos and mistys from them...and best of all we can both hate skiboarding together :)!
 
I think skiers and boarders can screw them over it's the ppl that dont know what their doing and you get some on both sides certain mountain have more in one sport then the othern I just moved out to the midwest I'm i got the only twins I've seen at the hill so far but I'm alsko riding illinois so im guessin most are goin to be in wisconsin. Everyone should start riding Chestnut to represent the freeskiing community cuz it's pretty much all boarders it's not that bad either jumps aren't that big but there's a couple rails that are fun. Also everyones gotta start somewere We all sucked or still do no one hops on and busts out so take that into mind to I know screw over stuff sucks I got a serious concusion for it last season half way threw and didn't get to jump anymore or dok anymore rails cuz the doc said no and my dad said I'll saw em in half. So yeah it sucks but oh well stuff happens it's life
 
yeah they make ride ons on everything.. but some of them are actually fun to watch like yesterday a kid did a tail press on a box and then did a front flip off prety cool
 
I hate ride ons, I prefer a larger gap (to a point) than a smaller one, my snowboarding friends know this so when we design the park features at the local ant hill we build it right but make it close enough still so that a shitty young boarder won't completely die if he doesn't jump
 
PS. just because you skateboard does not make you a good snowboarder. so there.

ive skated before i snowboarded and its nothing like it. and its not as much fun as skiing in my opinion.

Half Pipes & rails, were at first made for boarders. They used to actually have signs

posted only for boarders. Then people started doin halfpipe with skis, and the rest is history. We should not hate them

ansd all get along in the park.

Even if it is true that they tend to scrape

the landings when they carve out. (more the beginners than the others) Thats just the way it is with a board. They have as much right being there as any freeskier.
 
only thing i hate is when boarders dont un buckle in the lift lines and run into everybody other than that i am ok with them
 
Boarders are the reason so many mountains are still open today, and much of the inovation in our sport crosses over from theirs.
 
I think snowboarders are awesome i ride with some and they really help me progress. I think we also have to thank them for what freestyle skiing has become today so much of what we do is tied into there sport too. get rid of snowboarders and we have the x games gone and maybe even parks, and tons of other stuff. Thank you snowboarders
 
yeah that is my only complaint against boarders. other than that if someone ruins the features it has nothing to do with whether they ski or board, it's just because they suck.
 
there are dumbasses in skiing and snowboarding... and there are cool kids on both sides too, but remember that there wouldnt be terrain parks if it wasnt for snowboarders, they were here first

I have to disagree with that, I run into way more skiers who have ventured into terrain that they shouldn't be in. Not to mention idiots sliding down on their ass with skis under their arms, or kicking steps in the pipe wall to go get a ski they lost on the deck. Some people wreck terrain because they shouldn't be there and don't know how to deal with it properly, that applies to skiers just as much as it does to boarders. And like someone in here already said, without boarders we would not have parks or twintips.
 
i hate the morons that always land sideways and scrape the snow off the landing. or the guys that land a trick and stop immediately, in effect delivering the same results.
 
^ Exactly. Every mountain I've been to that had one of those, it was the jump that had the best condition in the entire park.
 
Yes, snowboarders do ruin the park and they are so oblivious. I was hitting this flat rail this weekend, and i slid off it in the middle because i was off balance or whatever. i was going backwards(i was about a foot away from the rail) and this stupid ass snowboarder ran over my skis and totally took me out. He didnt even stop to ask me if i was alright or anything. He didnt say a word. fucker.
