so at lunch i switched gear with my freind and tryed snowboarding and i could link turns hit rails and every jump at stevens pass, WA even the waterfall for those of you who ski there. it really isnt hard at all. im just glad skiing is such a badass sport

If your good at skiing then snowboarding is pretty easy once you get the feel for it, they seem like pretty transferrable skills to me. I think snowboarding is easier though, but you get more fucked up when you fall.

I skied for like 10 years then switched to snowboarding and have skier a few times in the past year. It feels a bit wierd but its hard to tell which is harder since Ive been riding for a while now. One thing I did notice easier on skis is that on rails (I only hit small flat bars and boxes) because you have 2 seperate boards on the rail, its easier to save yourself if you catch an edge, catch your front edge on a snowboard and your done. Other than that, I don't really know, they are both fucking sick and the group I ride with is pretty well mixed riders and skiers.... its pretty rad.

snowboarding is so fun! way harder for me since you are so fucked when you get off balance. slushy out runs owned me all day yesterday.

Its alright.

I used to snowboard for about 4 years from the time I was 9 to about 13. I find skiing a lot more steezy and all around fun.

thats what i did.. i coud link turns and stuff, but i got tired of falling on my wrists. every time i would fall, i would put a hand down to stop me, and ever time, i thought i had just broken a bone.

it just straight up wasn't fun.

and i missed an hour and a half of skiing...

ive been snowboarding for about 10-11 years, I started when I was 8 or 9. I just switched back to skiing at the beginning of this year. I find skiing to be a lot more fun. I think that skiing is harder on rails, I don't know though I feel like they are about the same.

i had the same problem actually. except i would just use my head instead of wrists. and i couldnt ride regu;ar only goofy

i skied/snowboarded for half a year about 6 years ago.
i could do a 3, rails, and ride well on a snowboard, until i didn't realize it was as fun as skiing.so, that year i bought my first twin tips, scratch pros! the purp/cyan ones. sooo legit. haha 141 cms
anyway, i'd try snowboarding for a day again if i were to switch with a friend, but i wouldn't snowboard on a regular basis. i haven't touched a snowboard in like 4 years. haha

I used to snowboard, I snowboarded for 9 years. I switched this year and it was the best decision ever. I haven't touched my boards and all 3 are collecting dust since i clicked into ski binding for the first time. Skiing is just way steezer and more fun. I think most snowboarders just don't know how great skiing in the park or in the pow is with skis.
