Ok, i'm SOOOO fed up with this crap. Snowboarding and skiing are the same thing! I think we all know that we have at least one snowboarder friedn that we ski with, and while we talk mad shit on them on here, we know they're pretty damn cool in person...Personally, one of my best friends is a snowboarder, and i hate how people give her shit about it, and then the same people give me shit about skiing. ITS CRAP! we all know that we wouldnt' have snowboarding if it weren't for skiing, and we probably wouldn't have NS skiing if it weren't for snowboarding...so JEEZ! (sorry, had to rant)

my intire crew waited for his ass at the bottem of the hill and beat the shit out of him. i broke his poles agianst a tree, and we snapped one of his skis. fucker got uppercutted so much. he was bleeding from his eyes and shit, crying like a little pussy. i busted out a body slam on his ass and broke both of his arms. the ski patroler broke up the fight and clipped all of our tickets. we where gonna beat the shit out of the patroller but my mom came to pick us up.

I only have one friend that snowboards. I hardly ever ski with him though. He used to live by whistler. Then he moved back to Michigan. What a retard.

your lucky if u have anyone to ski with, cuz noone in my school does (and is good at it) exept for me and one or two other guys. I go with a bunch of boarders all the time :(

 
skiers that bitch to boarders are just as bad as boarders who bitch skiers. people who talk shit about skiers, or boarders make me want to slap them. i also hate it when i tell someone i ski and they atomatically think i hate snowboarders.

you are right. both skiing and boarding are very cool! (although skiing is a bit cooler). but i can't see the fun in snowblading? i mean why don't they get themselves longer skis?

It's all cyclic. When snowboarding took off, skiing was 'gay' to them and they picked on people who did it. Then we went big and backwards and became cool, so most of them are cool with skiing now. But now there's skiers that are dissing boarding because newschool is, well, newer.

I say shut the hell up. We both enjoy the snow, and can learn from eachother. We should only diss 80's ski outfits, piss poor people in the park that don't get out of the way, posers, and of course skiboarders.

Ok, so there are a lot of mixed feelings about the whole snowbaord vs skiing thing. Everyone just needs to get over the whole rivalry thing and just accept that we all are out there to enjoy ourselves - I know that sounds like a bunch of warm fuzzies, but if you're good at what you do (whether its skiing or boarding) then the way you do it will speak for itself. In my experience, it's the the people who are either crap, not that serious about it, or new to the sport that say shit about the 'other' snowsport. Just go hard, have fun, and don't give a damn about what anyone else thinks.

Although it does piss me off when I hear comments about how snowboarding is so much cooler than skiing - cos skiing rocks.

 
There's this kid in my class who was like 'Skiing is gay' and i'm like 'fuck you, snowboading is 10 times gayer' and he's like 'shutup, to you wanna get beat up' and I'm like 'Bring it on mutherfucker and then the librarian got mad at us and then I said that snowboarding isn't as gay as skiboarding and we lafed and skiboarders.
