snowboarding sux

fuck that. skiers would probably not have any steeze if it weren't for snowboarders. i don't ride with hardly any skiers and seeing how wide a snowboarders stance is and their steeze made me change my whole style. so find something better to make fun of like snowlerblading.

Most of us skiers get alot of our style from snowboarders, but i would say skiing is more versityle but other than that, snowboarding is just as good.

 
i have nothing a againts snowboarding, its just that they cut u off all the time (im 15) and they laugh of u when they are worse than u. as for the do u ski comment, i was talking to the guy that posted after the original message. sorry if i angered anyone

 
fuck i hate when boarders sit like 3/4 of a foot away from the pipe in a huge group.... and then they rag on my when i air out beside them..... go to the hill to ride not to sit in the snow.

 
there is definitely more versatility in skiing, but i think when you put both skiers and snowboarders next to each other, both are gonna step it up. my boy is a forum rider and just riding with him and the big guys on forum makes me want to step it up. i think at the end of the day that we're all just out there to ride.

im sorry but who ever made this thread is a complete idiot. Skiing/snowboarding are both sick. They both take alot of skill and alot of practise to be good at, both are really just sticks sliding on snow. snowboarding has also enspired alot of skiers to try new things they prolly would have never thought of doing before on skis. if u like snowboarders or not u have to respect what they are doing as alot of them respect what we are doing.

yes their is the select few who bitch about skiing and think we are fags, but skiers do the same thing (like the guy who made this thread)

One time at a park there was this group of snowboarders. They all did little 180s of bumps and were like oh yeah who da man. Dumb stuff like that. But when a snowboarder fell on a jump and broke his leg all of them showed up like 5minutes later . and each one of them said skier has to break some thing. then i told them it was a snowboarder. They just said well he must of skied before cause true snowboarders never fall. Well long story short me and my friends ended up hitting them all in the head with snowballs.

Read a snowboard mag, they have ads and crap that always rip on skiers. That pisses me off, that one little thing that a company does in their ads to be funny ends up giving snowboarders a bad rap by skiers. I'm not saying that all snowboarders are bad because the good ones are sick, but I'm not gonna support and defend something that is hurting skiing. I ski, I love skiing, and I'm gonna defend skiing. We all ride for fun, but media can really mess things up when they rip on the other sports.

I don't think a lot of snowboarders know what skiers are doing now. They look at it as a sport full of up-tight spandex wearing jocks. (It's alot better know, but before skiing had any x-games hype)

When I was at camp, all the pro's respected the skiers, 'cause they kew what they were doing and how crazy we are.

I think that there will always be groms and some other people that make fun of skiers but they don't mater, 'cause they suck any ways, and aren't fun to be around.

Also for the ads that go at skiing, I bet is going after the over-all image of skiing, not the new movement. I'd like to say the saying 'skiing is for little fat kids' is a little off. I see more little fat kids snowboarding , than skiing!

aclsarescary i agree with you. there are a lot of snowboarders that just judge skiers by the old fassion tight pants and crap. and not doing tricks like they do. I have respect for snowboarders but only if they have respect for us. like most of the really good snowboarders know what freeskiing is and they think it is cool. but then there are the little kids that have no idea and they suck themselves.

 
i have so much respect for snowboarders, their new movies are so amazing. and so many of them have the most amazing style, like ryan lougee(sp). If you havn't seen artofficial yet, you must see it

I think snowboarders rip and i know alot who are super cool guys who really now what skiing is all about and respect it. Then there are the little homo's who still think skiing is all about wearing tight rubber suits and being as rich and arrogant as possible. The other day i was in a snowboard shop and saw a ride hoodie that said 'skiing is for little fat kids'. Personally i think snowboarders and snowboard companies are just mad cause our sport has progessed so much within the last couple of years and theirs hasnt. for example last years X games pretty much everyone was throwin nines. i found it pretty boring. i think snowboarding would benefit alot if they started to appreciate skiing more instead of refering to us as 'little fat kids'.

ok ehres the story, i already said this a while ago but we will go again. first off, when you say snowboarders in general...youre wrong first off. there are hippy snowboarders who dont give a shit what you do as long as you puff the cheeba, there are some old people who board who are all like the old people that ski and yell 'YEEEE HAWWWW' a lot there are amazingly good snowboarders in the park and same goes for big mountain and also there are bad snowboarders. then you take all those and then they can either respect or disrespect or even not really care (hippies in this case) what you ride. now here comes the personal bit of info that i have learned. it really all depends on the individual itself. for exmaple at my mountain there are good snowboarders who have nothing but respect for skiers who are respectfull towards them, and then there are snowboarders who still claim that skiers suck. some are really good that do this and some arent all that great but stil have the respect. you just have to show them that youre not a prick towards snowboarding. same exact thing goes from a snowboarders point of view towards skiing, therye not gonna give a shit about us if we go on like yea man snowboarding sucks. and whoever started this thread...ahha nice bitch fit haflway through, you gotta learn how to humbly admit youre wrong

I hate these threads. Nothing gets accomplished. There's assholes in both sports that are gonna give ether a bad name. But, both sport owes the other a lot. I think true skiers, and true snowboarders have a great respect for one another. So shut the fuck up!

At my mt all the snowboards sit together and just watch all the skiers hit the jump. i took 4 runs one time in the park and all the snowboarders that where sitting there never moved the whole time they just sat there in the way like always so there for i hate them for getting in the way.

 
people who say snowboarding sucks are losers but people who say skiing sucks are losers to up until now i have been a hardcore skier but on friday i am switching a freind of mine (boarder) and i am going to try something new i think we should all try the other sport just once skiiers should snowboard and snowboarders should ski and i am sure the guy who started this thread won't keep running his mouth anymore
