Snowboarding+skiing

AK is snowboarding though. Look at guys like Rice, Gigi, Nicolas, Romain, They are doing absolutely sick AK lines and throwing in 5's and 7' and 9's and inverts, it is just sick. When I see skiers in AK I see the skis on the snow a lot of the time. It hurts skiers that they can't ride backwards down AK.

I mostly ride with snowboarders, much cooler people usually.
 
snowboarding is sick. i know a lot of snowboarders that have more steeze than a lot of skiers. not saying its better, because i prefer skiing but snowboarding can be really cool
 
i ski with a group of skiiers and boarders, most of us have gear for both and switch overfrom time to time....we got so much better from working togetehr and helping each other out in the park, we even converted one of our "im never skiing" snowboarders to the point that he bought twins by the end of teh season and preferred skiing
 
what are you talking about? freestyle snowboards shouldnt have a wide stance? Try doing anything on a 15 inch stance. Theres a reason people are pushing 24 inch stances, and it not just to look G. watch a snowboard movie from 91 and watch one now. Who looks more stable? Would you ski a big line with your skis together? no, thats because wider is more stable. just like the pontiac commercials tell you
 
i watched that new burton movie "thanks in advance" or whatever it is called a couple weeks ago. terje, dcp, victoria, nico, dcp and tadashi are just ripping the mountains, finding creative lines just riding for themselves. same as the analog and special blend freebie movies showing just a different side, to just ride. same as dc mountain lab where travis parker and todd richards just goof around and ride park and invent new shit to jib on, it's so simple. i also love mack dawg movies (follow me around, chulksmack, picture this) cause they're so precise, the riding is epic and the music is amazing. to me snowboard movies have been pretty core for sometime now. ski movies have a reputation of being long and dragging out. it's turned around a bit but ski movies should show a bit more of just riding not so much show. i havnt seen tanner's new movie but "show and prove" where him and seth are riding the glades is sweet. i love it cause its a cloudy day and they make the most of it. just cruising around. i also love jp's parts of the last couple years, a lot more rounded out. i ski with whoever makes it out to the mountain, but it's mostly with snowboarders.
 
word for some reason skier for the most part are up tight dicks. the only thing is i love to ski. it seems like skiers take thier comp racing up tightness "the right wa to do shit" to the park where as snowboarders are relaxed and open. remember snowboarding from the get go was strictly about trickin and having fun. and aside from that the skier snowboard hate is particular to the states i think. i ride in europe and evryone is down (thats mabey particular to my hill) and as far as movies are concerned candides movies (rastafaride) has both and they are always sick. i can see how boarders might get bored with skiing but i never get board of watching pro boarders shred.
