its hard to decide why people still ski...i suppose it is because the mentally and aesthetically deprived need something to do for 'fun' i mean we would hate to descriminate....

i definatley think snowboarding is heading in a better direction than skiing, i would snowboard if i didnt already ski, so instead i'll just ski like a snowboarder (ALL backcountry and urban rails instead of the park)

how is it headed in a better dirction? how many snowboarders arer throwing cork 10s and shit over chads and cork 810s onto rails? theres no more progression for snowboarding, it just stays the same. i tried my friends snowboard at Hood this summer, strapped in, headed to a 10 foot table, did a indy over it and was like wow this is gay.

^ you obviously haven't seen POP. the progression that romain and rice throw down over Chad's is top of the line. and rice double cork 10's pyramid. and over chad's rice does bs 5, switch bs 5, cab 7, fs 3, and bs rodeo 7. no skier can even touch what they did. Chad's is now closed and shouldn't be hit again, ever, by anybody. unless skiers either hit it switch or land it switch. or if skiers start doing rodeos both ways over it. i would like to see that.

I like that one. I do, however, think snowboarding is still ahead of us. We're just starting to see where things will go, but snowboarding has matured over the years. Just look at peple spinning on rails and transferring rails. We're getting stoked spinning off and on or sex changes. We've yet to see presses become really defined and common. It will happen though. We're still young in this.
