^^ and Im going to have to disagree, normal laces are a lot easier to make tight where you need it, and loose were you want it. but again, its personal preference

I agree, I've had a pair of speed lace boots for the past two seasons that I have to duct tape now because the thin cord/lace snapped and the clamp stopped clamping. They never really tightened enough even after the first few days of use. I'm gonna do an experiment and try to take out the speed lacing and put in regular laces.

speed laces on my salomon boots are never tight, i gave up and just rode them like that. the thing that is suppoesed to keep it tight doesn't clamp the lace

Those 86 fastbacks are prime as fuck. My homie got some this last season and he loves them. I'm rocking some 2010 Jeremey Jones Burton boots right now and they have done me well but are starting to rip around the edges after 3 seasons. So boots pants and goggles are on the list for next season.

Whats everyone rocking this year? I flexed out my boots, and want these:

but theres no wide version and need to find something else I like

I've got some Contact Pro's but the rasta colorway and I fucking love them. Gonna need some new boots though and idk what I'm doing there yet. Probably wait till SnoCon has their big SAW sale and get some for the low.

That can't hold up to big jumps.

I'm 6 3 as well. My stairmaster and dh2 are both 156. 52 is too small. I mean fun for rails but even there I'd like to have the control of a little bit bigger. I don't see how you could hit a jump on anything less than 154 and be comfortable.

Do all skis look the same to snowboarders? Because all boards look Identical to me, besides the top sheet that is.

i rarely hit jumps because at my home mountain the only jump they had was always a giant mount of ice. i'd rather have something short and squirly because that's how i like to ride. i'm also about as heavy as a paperweight, so i can afford to ride a board that's on the short side.

That is the most obnoxious toe cap I've ever seen lol.

I've got to invest in boots this year. Really bad.

yup they are murdered out and so dank.

im digging the jordan boots bottom right, if nike snowboarding makes a jordan collab sweatshirt i'd so buy it

haha why would you buy nike? so overpriced and not a core brand. go with 32 or vans or another company that gives right back to the industry

Can't decide on the Salomon Salomader, Capita Ultrafear, or Rome Artifact Rock for a park/rails/backyard/urban board for this year

Question about boots and lacing.

In your opinion, what do you find the most effective in keeping the boot most tight around your shin area (which is what I want, I imagine a park rider is looking for more flexy)

Normal lace, boa or the Salomon powerlace style? I've done both normal and powerlace, never boa...and I ride hard enough that they tend to get super loose around the shin area which suuuuucks.

Normal lace all day every day. The powerlace crap will broke on me the first day I was at hood for a week, I ghetto laced the shit out of my boots and it blew. BOA, I just don't like the thought of having something winding up to tighten around my leg.

I've always preferred normal laces. Easier to replace is broken, and easier to adjust for tightness or pressure points exactly how you want it.
