Snowboarders vs Skiiers - Facebook thread (Hilarity ensues)

some of the comments are pretty hilarious:

Here's why snowboarders are better, two words. Butter tricks. An no,

skiiers sitting on the back of their ski's is not cool. It's just an

excuse to catch some snow chunks in the bung hole.

Honest disciples of both sports would say powder is the shiznit and

both would agree they'd be reaching for their board that day and

leaving their skis without hesitation.

true, they're just hating to act cool. most people on that thread are people who go 2-3 times a year and dont know what thery're talkin about.

facebook was better before they let in high schoolers and randomasses with some unknown eastern european country as their network

requiring .EDU after your email addy kept the freaks out

"It's good to ride with skiers cause on the flat they can pull you with their chop sticks! " yay!

Stop the hate, fucking A. Half the people posting in that are barely fucking literate anyway.

I've wanted to say this for a long time and I feel this is an appropriate forum (P.S - I do both, well!):

The

problem with skiers is the better they get, the more stupid they look!

Skiing is a mess of poles with a perverted affection for sunglasses.

Watching one of you struggle along the street is EMBARRASING.

Perpetually flailing around: the only positive element is when you fall

down stairs, to be swiftly scythed by your ensuing skis and ,

deservedly, buggered by your poles; both of them.

Yes skis are

faster, that's because of physics and undisputable. Yes on those

ice-rink early season days it's a blast on skis and a snowboard would

be pointless/suicidal BUT:

A snowboard is more aestheticly

pleasing on and off the rider, in the air and on the snow not just

because it has more surface for better graphics, but also because it is

purer. One edge, One component, One rider, One love.

Tricks on

skis are messy affairs - although I salute the modern freestylers sans

poles. On a snowboard simplicity wins through again - no flailing poles

and bird-shit silouette - Rider, Board, Beautiful.

Honest

disciples of both sports would say powder is the shiznit and both would

agree they'd be reaching for their board that day and leaving their

skis without hesitation.

Those of you who can actually do both

and have done in the best of conditions already know and you'll not be

reading this because you know it's irrelevant. The rest of you will

carry on bitching and complaining in your harping tribes and be wrong

into perpetuity.

I had to say that once in my life, thank you for reading it!

PEACE! ONE LOVE!

PS.

the reason for the dig at sunglasses is that if you go fast your eyes

water regardless of the brand or price, and then you can't see, which

is fucking stupid. Fair enough if you dont want to go fast but....!

I don't even know where to begin.

If I ever see kids who just don't understand newschool skiing and hate on skiers I just kill them, plain and simple. Take my gat, put it their domepiece and CLAP!

Ask ride-rider, I did it to 4 kids at school yesterday.
