ok so a was at my local hill and they set up some rails for the day. the whole setupwas sketchy, old rails with a cinder block under them on one end and the other end just lying on the ground. anyway i was practicing all morning and got good, then after lunch, assloads of snowboarders came and just sat around. i would wait in line, and the sucky girls would just yell move skier! they were all afriad to try the rails, but thought they should still yell at me. then a little while later, one of the rails rolled off the block after i slid it, and all the girls are like OOOOOOO GREAT!!! yet the havvent hit any of the rails, they just sat there getting the way. one snowboarder was nice enough help me set it up with me again. so are all snowboarders like this or just ones in connecticut? i just was really pissed and had to tell someone

 
i totally know what you are talking about. At my hill there are some snowboarders, mostly girls, who just sit around and yell at people. One time these girls yelled something rude at everyone who hit a jump and yet they could barely make it up a tabletop

 
yeah man it sucks, and they stand RIGHT next to the kickers people build, so i end up hitting them with my poles at times, and the bitch some more

 
You guys have gay snowboarders. It's always the ones that suck that lip you off, anyone that is good at anything always has respect for someone else in another sport because they know wqhat it takes.

 
i espicially hate it when im trying to get rid of the groove snowboarders put in the lip of a jump, and a sucky one yells at me to move, then they go off it, and get about 1 foot of air, those are the people that piss me off

Yea, I'd say that we've got some crew rivals here at the my local mtn. it's not cool, and im all about RIP - Ride In Peace. But i hang out w/ alot of boarders and skiiers alike. And we all get along, basically, we live by the rule, respect us and we respect you. BTW wat mtn are you at man?

I was skiing park the other day and i come over the jump and i land inbetween like 4 boarders, i wish i landed on them. They were waiting to hit the next hit by sitting on the landing of the table..

those kinda dumb people are everywhere. they're not only snowboarders but also skiers (see FREEZE forum) so you can't only blame snowboarders for that.

it always seems that the ones who like to talk shit are the ones you can't do shit. just hit the rail, school them and ask them to show you how to do it better.

blue mountain, Ontario was like that for the longest time. We're finally getting respect by the snowboarders now, and last friday night the local boarders were actually on my side against all the little kids who were cutting us in line for the rails and shit...

that is soo right, only shitty snowboarders talk shit. i ski with a lot of snowboarders cus at my school and mountian there arnt many skiers that can ski well, and they are tight. i was going to hit this table with 2 hits, a big one next to a small one the other day, and i was gonna hit the big one but some sucky snoboarder went up to it and stopped at the top, so i had to go on the smmall one and i cleard the landing and it sucked. one of them hit my pole last friday and brok it in half too. some snowboarder that was pretty cool was like mad props cus he had never seen a skier grind before, thats kind of pathetic. i think that there are nice snowboarders and there are bad ones, and most the time thie nice ones are the good ones.

 
LAst time I was at Tremblant I was waiting to hit the jumps and like 4 or 5 times these snowboarders would just come and go in front of me, halkf the time not even getting up the jump and then jumping on it to try and get up it...

like for the guys who say that skiiers are copying snowboarders they need to leanr how to jump themselves...

 
that's not true... i know a lot of ok boarders who talked smack to skiers... one at blue still hates skiers.

and i fucking hate boarder chicks! i dont mean the ones that r hitting rails and shit... i mean ones that cant do jack shit and buy a trick board when knowing nothing about snowboarding. its pretty sad i think..... one of my cuzins (even though shes not a whore) baught this expensive board and we were arguing about how she is such a boarder chick and then she says how she will really use the board and shit like that so im like fine maybe shes serious about this. she has been out snowboarding once for 1 hour...... thats it..... and anything says she wont use it again. thats pretty fucked up. i think that all those boarder chicks that cant do shit r like prostitutes that think they r being entrepreneurs by providing service on the slopes

Most of the snowboarders I have come across have been more interested in thee tricks we are doing than there own and they are all super super respectful. mikey rencz goes to my school and he thinks skiing is the shit. I know a few pro snowboarders that want to trade in for skis. this rivalry I think only exists in backwoods places cuz I never see it.

 
The only snowboarders I've ever known to give shit to skiers are the ones that suck ass!!! I remember falling a bunc hwhile trying to cork out my 7's and i was getting shit from boarders who couldnt clear the damn table cuz I was falling! I was this close to fucking them up!!!

 
at tremblant there are only a few snowboard girls that are around the rails, but they actually do the rails and are super cool. If I see them grease one of the rails I'll tell them it looked good, and if I do the same, they'll compliment me. It's pretty chill and they have alot of respect for skiers, so no complaints about the female snowboarders at Tremblant.

Some are nice, some are not, this year Ive met sooo many more nice ones than not, maybe %90/10 or a little better. Just be nice and when they are assholes ignore them, its all you can do, I really hate ignorant ppl but the earth is filled with them, just take it lightly.

Man the park in that pic looks great, WHY CANT I SKI ONE LIKE THAT? I have yet to find any decent jump to learn anything on this year, seriously it fucking sucks, and Im not being picky either, Ive went to 5 resorts around here and theres one left to try. What I would pay for a 15-20ft table with a nice lip...sorry to complain.

There are so many dick snowboarders cause there are so many posers who don't know shit. They fucking chirp you, you make eye contact and they shut the fuck up. Then you see them sitting around with their abecrombie shit an talk shit on everyone. I see it sooooooo much at horseshoe.

i hate the crapy snowboarders at my hill, theyll yell at me for hitting the rail, and then get raped by the same rail, then i usually shut them up by showing them up hardcore, it usually works to shut them up

All the snowboarders are good at rails here. Most of them can 50 50 just about anything. The skiers are much better in the air though. This is different at other places around here, they throw rodeos and stuff, pretty good.

has anyone here got crap for pole planting in the pipe? i have a friend who is pretty good in the pipe and he has had 2 seperate snowboarders get in his face and one time it nearly came to fighting, we didn't want to fight but he was all saying he was gonna kick our ass. the pipes walls were really hard to, pole planting couldn't hurt it. and we only tap the wall we don't leave our poles in the whole time. i think this is gay, does anyone else have this problem. i like some snowboarders, but others make me SO mad.

In val direne, I always ride with snowboarder so we have fun yelling at each other to get out of tha way then staritg to laugh... and on tha rail, we always try the same tricks, except that I do backslide when they do 50/50. ( which is not frequent cause they kick ass.

I just wanna say that I am a snowboarder and I don't have one person that I regularly ride with that snowboards. All the boy/girls in my crew ski and I love it hell I even strap 'em on every once in a while. Trade with one of my buddies then have a comp on who can stomp a 360/540/back flip first it's great fun and makes for some entertaining footage. All I'm sayin is as long as you are havin' fun who gives a flyin' #*@% what you do and if some punter is yellin' at you for skiin' just ignore him and think damn his/her life must be bad if he has to worry bout mine so much then grind his/her parents brand new Land Cruiser. yeah when i was in vail like 5 snowboarders were pissing some skiers off and the were in a freesking class and the coach was an ex marine and he beat the shit out of one of them and then they shut the fuck up, theyre all cocky and shity at my local hill and they always piss me off but some snowboarders are good and there not stuck up and they can acctually throw shit down cause the only people that talk shit are people that suck.
