Snowboarders invaiding NS?

I have no problem with snowboarders, johnny kapahala was a cool cat, but  does anyone else notice the growing number of snowboarders on NS. Not the ones who ski and snowboard, but straight up snowboarders, this isnt wintersports online community, its a freeskiing online community. 
 
Yeah, it still is Freeskiings community. They are coming on, and discussing the sport just the same as anyone else.

I'm personally stoked on them being here.
 
Yes, I have noticed that. However, I don't think anyone will do anything about it because as far as I've seen, the mods want as much traffic through the site as possible...
 
yeah i wasnt saying ban every snowboarder, it just seemed like they were a pit out of place and i wanted to see if others noticed it too
 
oh no, its definitely obvious, that and skateboarders too, they post their videos up and there is no skiing in them. I've notice that some of the skaters don't even do winter sports, their best tricks are like a kickflip or something
 
Snowboarders aren't really that out of place here on newschoolers

We're all here for pretty much the same reason , we all love to shred, may it be on two sticks or one board!!
 
There are a lot of skaters that ski also, its not unheard of. And I'm not shoked by snowboarders because many kids on this site are on snowboarding's dick so hard so its an easy mistake if they think they've stumbled across an undercover snowboarding site.
 
look at the threads made and the cults and the photos, probably35 percent of people talk about actually skiing on a regular basis. Things people consider "skiing talk" are like what clothes are you wearing this season, whos on what sponsors etc etc   its just an online community really.
 
nothin wrong with that, when im searchin general snowsports info about hills i wanna visit or wtvr i somtimes check out snowboard forums
 
yeah thats not the snowboarders doing that though. its the skiers that create an alias because they are a BAMF.

and Newschoolers does not really mean skiing...
 
They may not accept us, but we will accept them without hate because we are just that much better of a community. Plus, we owe it to them for giving us the terrain park.
 
i honestly dont have a problem with them, i was just wondering if anyone else noticed it, as i stated above....and Newschoolers.com-FreeSKIING's onlince community
 
gimme a break dude, this is obviously a skiing website. and if some borders are on here thats ok, but nomatter how you look at it this is a skiing website
 
I think think skiing and boarding are cool...if it jumps on rails and touchs sky ill like it....skiing and boarding both do park in about equal amounts....skiers started this site so keep it skiing....and if there was a boarding sight i wouldnt mind skiers on it...
 
i think its good if boarders are here talking with skiers and about skiers.
but when they are here bashing skiers and calling them fags, thats when its dumb and those boarders probably are not real snowboarders, just some punks that wanna start shit.
personally im a snowboarder but love both sports and just go on here and i gain a lot of ski knowledge.
well i skied for 7 years also.
 
I think it's dope that snowboaders are on here. When it comes down to it, everyone here is stoked on riding on snow, no matter how they do it. 
 
we need snow boarders as much as they need us, me thinks our sports are progressing off eachother as far as how people shred, music, progressing our sport (dont quote me on this but i could have sworn a couple of pro borders where lobying for pipe skiing getting in the olimpics) etc. I board aswell as ski and there aint no boarding website that is as sweet as NS!!!
 
hahaha i snowboard but have a lot of friends that ski. i enjoy watching skiing and also this site has a lot of good information on events, openings and etc
