Snowboarders get major motion picture - First Descent

that looks awesome, ill go see it. but let the record show that snowboarding's first movie was "Out Cold". hahaha.
 
as much as i'd love to be like "o sweet a winter moive" to the public that just makes skiing seem that much more gay. when people see the moive there just going to be like wow skier's are those people with there one tip ski's that arnt origonal, and there just all stuck up losers. snowboarders are way cooler than skier's
 
I think its fucking great that theres a serious snowboard movie on theaters with real snowboarders (shawn white or hakonsen). I would love that we had a movie like that on skiing
 
my only complaint is that the production value of these movies if often low in the sense that, while they have amazing shots in them, the concept of telling a story about the evolution of the sport in question gets old after dogtown and z-boys. unfortunately, it's always the same deal, whether dogtown, riding giants, whatever. bunch of bros get together and blow people's minds. very cool the first time you see dogtown and z-boys, not so exciting afterwards.
 
^exactly. i still wanna see it just to see those guys rip tho, most of us already know the story of how it started, so they wont be brainwashing us
 
skiing's "revolution" might look gay on film. well... the video would look gay on film.

I cant wait to see it, if nothing else I want to see guys rip on those old ass snowboards, those things crack me up. Oh and that avalanche, I wanna see that thing play out.
 
Apparently there ARE a couple of people who haven't seen war after all! The song towards the end, if that's what you're referring to is And you will know us by the trail of dead - Will you smile again for me. Which was probably the one thing that screwed that trailer up for me, I kept getting flashes of JP.
