Snowboarders do hand drags?

Finally! They can take shit for copying us now, 1st time i've seen a ski trick go over to snowboarding and not the other way around

yanno, that was sick, but snowboard videos just dont impress me anymore. i feel like theres beginning to be a lot more creativity in skiing than in boarding now, and the urban in skiing is getting better, which is always where i saw a huge difference, i mean look at the wall ride tanner did in the massive preview

aw shit, that bail at the end was brutal.

hand drags dont really look that good on snowboarders.

And are snowboarders starting to move more into pow/tree lines than before? Seemed like a couple years ago they didn't really do that shit, just BC kickers and park/urban.

yea obviously there were a few people doing pow lines and shit but i was speaking as a whole, not just a handful.

the handrag was pretty sick.

It seems to me that its gotten to a point where alot of the shit skiiers and snowbaords do blends together.

Except they're rails look like shit cause it's mad easy :-p

some of those urbans were dope tho.

check out jeremy jones's part in picture this. sweet movie all around (and i think if you watch it it might change your perspective on some of the creativity aspects that you said snowboarding doesnt have). anyways, jeremy Jones (i think its him, im not too up on snowboarders) does an ILL wall flip sort of thing that, IMO, is way cooler than tanners because he launches off one wall and lands on a different wall that is perpendicular to the one he launched off of.

YEAHHH NC PRODUCTIONSS!!! REPPIN THE 541!
Ha yeah snowboarders do them. Christian Mares for us did a few this year....

Oh Carson Shuberts double backy in that teaser was sickkk, hahah.

so maybe snowboarders did them first...i really don't know.

i've just watched a lot of snowboarding movies over the past couple of years and it just seems like hand drags never took off like they have within the skiing community.

regardless, i still think they are cool and creative whether done by boarders or skiers. and hopefully i can learn them this season...!

um...picture this closer anybody? rodeo 5 wallride transfer.

and no, urban in skiing is still completely stuck on rails. noone but a handfull do anything else.

and snowboarders have been doign handdrags for a long time

just curious, if you still think snowboarding is still light years ahead, why are you fascinated with the skiing scene?

dam that trailer was siiick... i dont even care what y'all say about boarding that was dirty

specially urban, looks so much better on a board then on skis in my opinion

Because this is the only site on the internet like this, all snowboarding forums suck. Not to mention I enjoy watching skiing anyway, even though I snowboard. But as far as progression goes, were not light years ahead of you, but we are ahead in creativity, urbans and sliding things in general. But you guys are way ahead in the air and always will be because you have 2 seperated feet. You guys can def throw some crazy grabs that we have nothing on. But the main reason im on here is to watch videos, weather its skiing or snowboarding I can appreciate what is thrown down in both sets of videos

sorry for the double, just going to clarify a few things so this doesn't start some crazy hate. As far as creativity goes, what I'm talking about the kind of stuff scott stevens does, little crazy things. I'd say for the most part were pretty much on the same page progression wise, except a lot of skiing is big spins, which will tone down eventually. Not that I don't like big spins is just that seeing them all the time gets annoying, its nice to have some variety. 4bi9 is a good example of where things should start to go, they know whats up

why didn't u say that in the 1st place? at least that's a legit argument rather than-"this is pathetic"

so u think boarders did hand drags way before skiers eh?

the hand drag trick done in both vids is technically a miller flip. you don't really hear that term much, but its an inverted front three handplant while moving forward. it was taken from skateboarding years ago. people do them backside occasionally too. but you can feel proud for the term "hand drag"

no its not, i do both....maybe for boxes, but try sliding an urban on skis or 50- 50ing on a snowboard. then come back. however i do agree that ski jibs look better regardless.

oh, and nice trailer, hand drag

lol snowboarders are always doing hand drags... atleast thats how all the people learning to snowboard snowboard... hence the term "knuckle dragger"
