Snowboard Superpipe

yeah, zero amplitude. skiing rules the pipe.

The women's comp was really flat, although it didn't help that ESPN showed two hours of motocross and Brian Deegan's x-rays instead of the first round, so we never saw Bleiler's winning run.

What surprised me was that most of them (except Bleiler, Teter and the Japanese girl) took way too much air dropping in, instead of pumping the tranny and getting a big first hit. I mean, I suck in the pipe and even I know you need to drop in cleanly.

Yeah, the snowboard slopestyle is fun to watch (I love that angled nosepress thing White does), but in the pipe, the skiers now own it. More amplitude, and it just looks cooler without arms flying around.

snowboard superpipe is so lame.

they get no air and really pull no tricks. their entire run is basically two tricks, the one after they drop in, and the next to last hit. then they are able to pull lame shit like 720s but otherwise its all mute grabs.

skiing on the other hand boosts twice as far out of the pipe and is spinning 1080 or better in the pipe with flairs and all kinds of crazy inverts.

even though skiiers werent even allowed in the pipe for the first god knows how many years, we now own its shit

one thing you have to realize is that they take off and land switch a ton in superpipe runs. keep that in mind before you say the whole thing is gay.
