Snowboard pants for skiing

ok I am needing some advice, I am trying to find 2 pairs of really good waterproof and breathable pants but can’t find any ski ones.

I have ave been looking at burton AK 3L pants and bibs

The only issue I have is the zips and clips at the bottom of the pants and no extra padding, I am sure I would destroy them in no time from my edges hitting.

What are are your thoughts/ experiences?

I have a Burton bib, not the exact one you're looking at but it's worked well for two years so far, I don't get to ski a ton of days but the cuffs are not shredded only some wear from them dragging if I'm not in ski boots.
 
Dakine Smyth 2L Gore Tex are my go-to pants. I have two pairs and they're durable (thicker fabric at the bottom to protect from edges) and comfortable, yet light.
