Snowboard Injury - Asking for your Prayers.

Hello everyone,

Last Sunday (20th), my friend was snowboarding and went off the side of the trail and ran into a tree. He fractured his skull and broke his T-6 vertibre. He was immedietly sent from the mountain out via helecopter to the local hospital.

His skull fracture turned out to be totally minor and was very quickly taken out of the equation. Now the problem is his T-6. At the moment he is paralyzed from the Nipples down. During the surgery today to realign his spine they found out that his spinal cord was still intact. So during the next month or so there is a chance he can get the fealing back into his legs.

All im asking for is the support of this community and to put my friend in your prayers.

best of luck to you. and to help settle some worries, the lower the number of his fracture, the more severe it is. he's in good shape to make a full, if not close it full, recovery.

its a shame theres been so many death and injury stories on ns'ers in like the past week
 
man somehing like this happened to a friend of mine last year. he fell on flat during his practice run at nationals and broke his neck. he is paralyzed from the waist down. i know what youre going through son. ++vibes to your friend and his family.
