A razor blade is way too much work. Really, you should take a heat gun and melt the wax and p-tex off the base. Don't worry, it's made to all come off, that's why no matter how many times you mess up your bases you can take it to the shop and have a base grind done. Which brings up an interesting point, it would work if you had a small enough belt for your belt sander, too. After you get to the core you definitely want to let it soak in your bathtub in piping hot water to make sure that all the wax and p-tex dissolves off. Take it out, dry it off with a towel, and then apply some laquer to protect it immediately afterwards. This part is important. then you can go ahead and paint on your graphics, or make a collage with photos cut from Freeskier for the steeziest bases. After that, take a bastard file and make your edges flush with your new base. Add wax, and you're good to go. Post pics!!!!111one
