clever, i wonder how strong the things that attach the two pieces are, i wouldnt want that shit splitting in two while i was riding it.

wow they seperate? wouldnt that make for a really akward ride, like it would be flimsy or somthing, how would you fasten them together so there solid enough, just bindings wouldnt work that well?

^It's okay we all make mistakes. Voile starte making those like 10 years ago but they've never really gotten that popular. The bindings attactch like normal snowboard bindings or in inserts mounted forward like ski bindings for climbing up stuff. Then you attatch the two pieces back together to go down. It's a cool system but it's a little slow compared to skins with skis. One of my friends made one out of a cheap ass board and it works pretty well.

arent those meant for touring/back country riding? cuz yeah, the flex would be all messed up if you tried to ride it on groomers or even packed snow.

actually those boards seperate and become touring skis and then you can put them back together and ride down on your snowboard.

you fuckin tool its a backcountry split board for hikin up hill the latch it back together and SB down
