Snowbladers

So I've been riding a bunch of stuff about snowbladers and I just don't get it.... Why all this hate, you guys didn't like it when snowboarders hated on you and now you are no better then those gaper snowboarders. The way I look at it going 25 feet through the air with NOTHING to stabilize you're body takes SKILL. and also It's all to have fun so stfu about snowbladers did this bs because it's that person not all snowbladers are total duchbags.

p.s I'm not a snowblader and never tried snow blades but it's something I might look into trying

they have absolutely no style

good snowbladers only snowblade because they might get sponsored in that industry but not a chance in the ski world so they r cop outs

try making some good all mountain carves on those twigs

i think call them twigs is kinda retarted of you cause obviously you havn't done your research.(that is if your talking about skiboards and not snowblades cause snowblades dont exist anymore) skiboards are super fat. Revel8 has the condors which are 16.5 at the tip and tail!!!

where's your video edit ?

I've seen plently of skiers, snowboarders, and other snow sports with no style..

i've tried to be friends with gerram here but hes a complete asshole and has talked shit on me and my sport on several occasions. FUCK YOU bro. die slow.

Are you seriously comparing the best skiers to the best snowbladers, cause there is no comparison there. Maybe when your sport progresses another 15 years and someone in it actually has style not just flailing around.

i mean maybe it harder to balance, but it seems like "good" ski bladers arent even that good.. its just easy to be good at since no one else does it..

no, i am not saying that. there was no hidden meaning to my statement. i was simply stating that there are also skiers with no style out there, but for some reason no one seems to notice them.

Big feet are really steezy. Eric Pollard is a snowblader, bring back his pro model snowblades. Snowllerblading is so 10 years ago....it is lame, but if you wanna do it, do it...it just looks homo. That is why Mike Nick and Pollard....basically Line, switched to skiing.

Skiing is the natural evolution for fruit bladers. Someone should bring back sled dogs and big feet, and try to make them steezy. Even sick edits of snowllerbladers are somewhat hard not to laugh at...it just looks midget-like. If you wanna snowllerblade, do it. If you enjoy it, do it. The sport is dead though!

i was made to do this on a school ski trip when i was younger, we had a day on the snowblades. sucked, feels so unstable and i've never touched them since

My friend hes a snowboarder but for some reason rips skiblades once and a while

i haven't seen a snowblader with style. not even in videos. even when pollard did it, he looked stupid, compared to what he does today.

plus its stereotypically gaper. everyone wants to use those "trick skis"

just get real skis, or watch a whole bunch of technine/lucas magoon and try to figure out what to do with your hands.

hahahahaha the only reason we rock ski blades is becuase we (me and a couple friends) are ski instructors and the rental building gave us like a dozen pair b/c no body was renting them so just do stupid stuff with them ... ex. above video, strappin to back wheels of a front wheel drive car pulling the e brake and drifting etc

there's a reason why the snowblade industry collapsed.

on a different note - there's a dude at my hill who reps snowblades. Apparently he makes them himself in his basement. He used to wear all black with a black full face helmet so we called him the Dark Knight. This year he got a dark blue jacket so we now call him the Midnight Rider. He'll just like straight line everything on a pow day (mostly because he wouldn't keep his speed up if he tried to turn).

you need to stop man. how can you hate everything so much, while you get so much hate for your rollerblade grinds??? i mean, since inlines are so much like ski blades why dont you do that instead? maybe theyll accept you more

so in that pro video above there wasn't a single clean switch landing!!!
i don't understand how people who clearly love being in the park can ride things that are so floored when it comes to stability and landing in particular. Sure these things allow for crazy rotations off pretty small booters but if you can't land them clean, what's the fucking point? im sure these guys are talented or whatever but it looks so sketchy!

in snowlerbladers defense that video was of sugarbush's park about 5 years ago. I hope for the sake of their weird little sport there has been some progression.

I've never been that impressed with what I've seen from rollerbladers before but that Chris Haffey video was fucking SICK! That's some pretty amazing talent there.

Oh and I think snowblading looks like crap but I don't judge people that do it, we're all out there having fun.

like i said before snowblades are WORSE than scooters, right above heelys.

and rollerblading is legit, and in no way can be compared to smowblades.

hell in Brighton CO. there is a SKATEPARK named after a pro blader Brian Aragon, and the dude f cken shreds. heres the park, it aint no rinky dink piece of garbage either, it was city funded and named after him by the city. http://www.denverskatepark.com/Parks/Brighton/

then why do you try so hard to force your views and tricks on people? im not trying to demean your tricks, or anyone elses for that matter. in fact, im a huge fan of rollerblading and rollerblade girnds.

about you little comment concerning 2009. everything old is new again my friend. a couple years ago people thought neon colors were the gayest thing ever cause thats what people wore in the 80's. im not supporting skiblades, but you never know, it could be the new big thing by 2015.

snollerblades help you practice landing perfect and practice big tricks for when you bust out the big skis and do the big tricks on the big jumps and you can ride away like a boss and not land all backseat. plus there fun to mess on.

Trends my man. It's all about the crowd for people.

twin tips have been getting fatter and shorter but some people still like them really long. well most people on NS do. (compensate for much?) haha jk but idk right now snowboarding is still huge but its starting to fade away and twin tipping is coming in strong. its all starting over

80's = skiing

90's = snowboarding / snollerblading

00's = snowboarding

10's = skiing again

20's = snollerblading?? haha

all in all everyone wants to have new experiences and follow the crowd.

Props to those not spreading hate, and to those being hate mongers.... develeop some tolerance, and stop acting like children. This shit isn't a fucking fashion show, so handle your shit and ride what feels good.

WORD

Some snowblader should fill a doughboy pool with snow and shape it into a snow pool and then there would be a reason to own snowblades.

im not a fan of snowlerblades, but im just saying...

another good example.

80's = raichle

10's = full tilts

Someone should not be throwing stones when their style is more akin to snowblading than actual skiing. What you do on skis is regarded as activity in futility. Your tricks are forced nonsense done on flat boxes in a subpar part of the country.

I think actually...some of the "forced nonsense" he is throwing is going to be the future of the sport....not skiing though, skiboarding.

Correct.
He just won't admit to himself that they would provide a better channel for his wack tricks. But he has to ski because it is the 'cool thing to do' even though he will admittedly deny it in the next post.
Let your rollerblade infused skiing transition into its perfect vehicle, snowblades. Maybe then you can hate on freeskier for not taking pictures of you snowblading, instead of realizing they don't want to wait part of a memory card on what you call skiing.
