Snowblade Recall!

Word, but kinda shitty how 4FRNT is taking bad blows at Line because of it. yeah, they made the "I am a skier" shirt..... who the fuck cares if they made ski boards. at one point there was a scene for that.... get over it 4frnt.

Are they honestly saying snowblades are useless? How else are you supposed to go down stairs while drunk? Kids' skis just don't have the durability. 4frnt is up on their high horse.

Does anyone who skis hard actually like their 4frnts? I hooked up a couple kids with cheap demos last year because they were warranty-ing their snapped 4frnts. The kids looked pretty gaperish and wouldn't ski hard, so...

But who actually believes 4frnt will be in business in 5 years? When they are cutting down other core companies that have more credibility in their own market than them, I doubt they will last that long. Their product isn't going to separate them from others. But at least they still have that coveted blue chip skier Steele Spence.

i have to say for your overall negativity, that was a pretty accurate own.

sniped nigga. now stfu in fear of asian allen.

Yea, but I'm not running a company so it doesn't matter if I'm hypocritical. I'm not trying to sell some bullshit image to 13 year olds so their parents buy them subpar $500 skis, they are. Stopped backing 4frnt just because they are started by a guy from the midwest.

You're backing up Steele Spence? Who the fuck backs up Steele Spence? 2001 called and they said you're a fag.

it almost pathetic how mad people get over comments on an internet forum filled with mostly 13 year olds

How many banger shots has Steele Spence had in the last 2 movies? 0. That nose butter 3 in the pow, no.

Wow, getting all e-psychologist on me? You feeling smart after those 2 psych classes at local U? Talking shit online because I have a huge ego and a dirtbag? That would make me laugh if I actually valued your opinion(and since when is dirtbag a put down?).

I am sure if you met me on the mountain you would try to bro down with me and talk about the finer things in life. But I would realize that even with all your faux-nuevo, realistic viewpoints that you really are only of mediocre intelligence, even though you're trying to put out an aura of a detached, higher understanding with small amount of wit. But at least on the Internet you can try to show this side of yourself more because in real life no girl wants a finger in the butt from some 5'6 rollerblader. That do anything for you? Put that shit to rest, it's just a waste of time.

At least I won't meet you on the mountain though since we are separated by a divide of flat land, ignorance and corn.

Hey 4FRNT, uh just asking, where would your company be if...idunno...Line never invented twin tip ski's?? yea i dont think you guys would be doing so well.

Man I loled to that one.

Let me drop some knowledge on ya.

Steele Spence helped build this sport along with men like Julien, JP, JF, Boyd and so on. Ripping on him is like ripping on newschool skiing itself, which if that is what your all about........ just do it some where else.

Yes, I think every one can agree that what 4frnt did was lame, but the this is old news, if your so against 4frnt for taking a shot at line, you sould never buy anything from any of burtons brands because they have taken plenty of shots and skiing.

I will get back to you with a large list of companys you need to give some hate to.

I am not ripping on the old steele spence, I am ripping on the current one. Yes he did have the best misty 5 in the game back in 2001 and he had those heinous looking switch misty 10s that won him comps and no one else was doing.

On 4fnts behalf, they are pretty much burtoning snowblades. Sure, we all hate snowblades, but attacking a company that makes them, as well as leading ski products, is a bit lame. Maybe they are trying to get to their "core skier" mentality though? Who knows. I scored a pair of TNKs last season and liked them. They havent blown up on me yet, and I ski them pretty hard.

I don't think people should be saying "I wish 4frnt would just die already" or whatever, that is a little extreme. They are still bringing something to the table. If you don't like their customer service, or what Matt does, then don't buy their skis. If they dissapoint enough people, they will stop selling skis and realize change is necessary for the survival of their company.

best e-fight i've seen in a while-i love it when opinionated skiers through down on the keyboard, it's refreshing to know people care about skiing so much.

but seriously-the fact that line has made pretty crappy products kinda sucks, but what ski company hasn't? 4frnt definitely went way below the belt on that one, hopefully it's just a big joke between companys, (that's how an optimist thinks AA by the way). If not 4rnt just seriously screwed over their public image

no, im calling the old invaders that had to be recalled crappy products, i respect snowblades but it has been sort of a theme with line, not that im hatin on them cause i love their skis.

back to the subject...

there's no excuse for 4frnt to be taking cheap shots at other companies in their news feed.

so line makes skiboards... anyone remember how line started? I bet a few other people can remember that the concept of skiing in "snowboard" parks began with skiboards.

it's safe to say that every member of NS, save 0.001%, have more fun skiing then ski boarding. but why be condescending? ski boarders are just out there to have fun like the rest of us.

anyway 4frnt, it was really cool of you to compare how "disturbing" it is for people to be injuring themselves due to faulty equipment to how "disturbing" it is people actually enjoy having fun on ski boards. best of luck selling uninspired, overpriced, inferior skis.

What's wrong with tossing one in the butt?

I also wouldn't laugh at you from the chair, I would just pray for you and silently shake my head.

The ignorance encompasses all parts of the US not on the coasts. But is thickest in the midwest and southern regions.

Haha reading this thread is kind of funny. It's OK to have two opinions guys. It won't kill you to read someones post and take it for what it is... their opinion.

I'm waiting to see how long it takes 4FRNT to take that off their site, or someone from 4FRNT to get on here and fill people in. Sure .01% of their customers will see this thread, but it'd still be a legit thing to do..

wow this is the biggest piece of bull shit i have ever seen pulled by one of the "core" ski companies

1. line doesn't make ski blades anymore

2. where would 4frnt be without companies like Line who press the envelope and come out with new ideas and technologies to help benefit the ski community, i know the reactor's sucked, but the idea was sick.

3. the "i am a skier" t-shirt is completely legit, coming out of a company who produces 14 different models of twin tip skis, sorry 4frnt can't compete with that many models of ski

i hope 4frnt dies because of this bull shit, where would our sport be without line? there wouldn't be an armada, or all of these up and coming companies, tanner hall would probably be a no name mogul skier without companies like line

i have to say something...shut up please, you just keep talking, it gets quite annoying sometimes, there is no need to defend yourself against every idiot noob on the site. also, stop taking things so personally, sure snowbladesforlifeandeatspoopsandwichesforlunch is kink of a jerk, but he obviously enjoys riling up people with his posts, you're just feeding it and probably giving him a good laugh. quit post whoring, you have 2k more than me and have been on almost a year less, and i have way too many as it is. just cause you like to post your opinion, doesn't mean you need to make 8 posts to do so. post like this ^ are completely superfluous and show nothing but your insecurity to what people think who you don't even know.

and 4frnt really needs to make a product that lasts before they can start talking about other companies. my TNKs this year broke in 3 weeks.

If I were 4frnt I would be pretty embarrassed...

LINE MAY MAKE FAULTY SKI BOARDS! but

ATLEAST LINE MAKES SKIS THAT HOLD UP...

every pair of 4frnts i have seen within 1 year old looked like shit..ie: broken, edges falling out, mad chips base...

every pair of lines for the most part i have seen within 1 year old..looked a hell of a lot better than 4frnt's

wow 4front, now thats a new low, seriously, i would like to know what you were thinking, a joke?

and kids you've learn you lesson, don't mess with the Asian...you know now so stop!

i think 4frnt was hating more on snowblades in general, i thought it was quite funny, i love everyones response here... taking a little something way too far.... and hey it's not like people from line NEVER talk shit on core companies... they had it coming

Well, here is that reply about which you were wondering. This is a copy of an email that we sent to a customer who contacted us directly about the post (we removed his email address for obvious privacy reasons).

And his response this morning....

Hi,

I appreciate your response and, being English (particularly Northern English) I am more than comfortable with having a laugh at somebodies expense, especially if it includes a 'ski-boarder'! It was the way that 'defective Line product' was so bold in the article that really stood out to me and made me react in the way I did. You guys have built up an awesome brand with great skis and a great personality and I was dis-appointed to see what I had interpretted as a 'low-blow' towards Line.

Anyway, thanks again for you reply, I'm still gagging to get my '09 MSP's the day they are released over here, and get them on one of our many 100metre long 10metre wide indoor slopes. Poor, I know, better than nothing. They'll be in the Alps come december.

Andy

When writing this piece, we didn't mean to take a shot at the quality of Line's product and, in retrospect, we see how that could easily be misinterpreted. So, we changed it to "defective "ski boards". We apologize to Jason and guys at Line for any misunderstanding as a result of that reference.

Having said that, we hope you can all sit back and re-read the piece in the spirit in which it was intended - humor - plain and simple.

As for a number of you who posted concerns about 4frnt, we welcome you to call us at 801-975-9500 or get on our live chat to resolve whatever issues concern you.

Best regards,
Joe Stumpf

i can't believe anyone would see for being any more than a joke.

asian allen, you've proved you have the smallest dick on this site by arguing with countless noobs, ala evan heath circa 2006. ryandvonk said it perfectly, i wish i had as flashy an icon and high of a post count as him so people could understand how much of bitch you really are.

and finally to anyone saying, "fuck 4frnt i hope you die", quit hopping on the bandwagon. 4frnts legit, everyone makes faulty products, no matter how core they are. ever heard of ARMADA?

granted snowblades are pretty 2002, but snowbladesforlife, your awesome. and whoever posted that letter, thats sick, i knew this was just a joke all along.
