Thanks to that Wednesday storm that dropped 14 inches of snow. Snowbird Ski & Summer Resort plans to remain open daily through May 13 and weekends thereafter.
    The resort had a mid-mountain base Friday of 86 inches.
    Through April 29, Snowbird will operate the Tram, the Peruvian Express chairlift and Tunnel, and the Chickadee, Wilbere, Little Cloud, Gadzoom and Mineral Basin Express chairlifts from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. From April 30 through May 6, the Tram, Wilbere and Gadzoom lifts will run from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. while Mineral Basin Express will run only in the morning and Little Cloud only in the afternoon.
    From May 7-13, the Tram and Little Cloud will operate from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. After that, both will run only Fridays through Sundays.
    Day passes cost $49 starting April 30. Snowbird also is offering spring passes for $249.
    "Snowbird's late-season skiing and snowboarding is not for beginners," advised resort spokeswoman Laura Schaffer. "Only advanced terrain is available."
