Snowbirds closing date

I know for sure they are staying open until at least may 30 but someone said due to the new snow they are staying open until mid june is that ture

 
i don't think they have posted an official date, but they will probably stay open full time until the end of may at least, and then run the lifts weekends only as long as they can, which with all the snow will probably be well into the summer.

i doubt it will make it as far as some people say it will, but i dunno i guess theres a 40 percent chance of snow tonight so who knows.

ive got another version of the pole dangle, its pretty funny too, gets cold when i do it on the lift tho.

i read on there page a while ago that the tentative plan was to stay open full time through april and then in May only open on weekends until the end of the month

 
word on the street is they are closing June.1, and about that national forest thing. I think thats incorrect. alta leases their land from the forest service but I believe snowbird owns it because alta is closing in 2 weeks with like a 200 inch base and snowbird is staying open much longer

Hey i believe your right about snowbird owning it's own land, i was atop the hill the other day and got to talking to a ski patrol and he had mentioned how all of mineral basin (so i assume the rest of the mountain is also owned by snowbird) was owned by snowbird with exclusion to a small chunk of land over by baldy express quad. The lift that leads out of mineral over to alta, he said they leased that land from the forrest service.

 
i guess the snow report says another 20 inches tonight, that sucks for alta if we can keep this up, prolly some good hiking to build some booters and shit
