Peruvian Gulch Chairlift

By fall of 2006, Snowbird’s original Peruvian lift will be taken out and replaced with a new high-speed quad. While the base will stay near the original base shack, the top station will be located below the steepest Chip’s Run pitch, an approximately 2,600-vertical-foot rise. At the top of the lift, a 600 foot tunnel with a magic carpet will provide access to Mineral Basin. This lift will open up more intermediate terrain for skiers and snowboarders. Timeline: Start tunnel construction and top shack earthwork summer 2005, finish grading for bottom shack and remove old Peruvian lift during summer 2006 with an expected completion date in the fall of 2006.

i'm sure it will be cool in some ways but I think they should spend there money putting a quad on little cloud instead. just an opinion. what do you guys think?

i think a lot of the people riding the new lift will be less experienced skiers wanting more vert.a lot of the good skiers just ride the tram. or sometimes when the line is long i take gadzoom to little cloud

Tram is cool when it's not busy, but theres always some asshole who decides it is funny to let a bunch of beer farts out on the tram and hotbox it with flatulence, *cough* tyler *cough

yea.the tram does suck on crowded days.i try to byp[ass the tram and use lifts

yeaaaah! I skied at Snowbird this season when we were out at Park City. Snowbird was SOOOO sick!! We got 2-3' fresh that day.

Anyways, the tunnel will be really really nice!! They had signs up and stuff and it was in their map last season.

I wanna go back
 
are there really only any good skiers at the bird, the way most of you have been talking the only people riding the tram and peruvian are gapers and people who let off tons of beer farts.
