Snowbird Finally passed 500 inches tommorow will be sick the resort is closed today due to to much snow there was 30 inches last night and 45 in the last two days. but should be opened tommorow it will be Crazy.

isnt 500 for alta not even that great? last year I thought they broke the 1000 inch barrier..... they did, didnt they?

Alta averages just over 500 inches a year, so anything above that is good. but this is crazy. i cant wait to go skiing tomorrow

 
i went to snowbird and alta like last week when is snowed. it was very good

thanks for posting this... i had just gotten over checking the Alta snow report every day and this thread made me check it again. i wish i was in little cottonwood canyon. screw colorado.

i left the day it began snowing... a little depressing, but they are having a good yr, but alta only begins counting snow i believe from when they open? but im not sure...and i think mt baker has the record for ms snowfall in a season with liek 1400inches

when i was there it hadnt snowed in 3 weeks, and a since a few days after i left when it started snowing they got 15 feet. great.

Yep.. .canyon was closed all day.. .so that means i will be shralping 3 untouched feet of blower tomorrow.

yeah when I was there, it sort of sucked considering it hadn't snowed in liek a couple weeks, it was just like being on the EC. I can't believe they're getting all this snow

 
so do you think its gonna be a nut house tomorrow, i mean when i was there on a weekday it was fucking insane, i hate that this storm came through on spring break, fucking shit gets tracked out in like 5 min but i guess high pressure is comming in so i will get my fresh tracks for 20 min, then go and find some drops.

ive got another version of the pole dangle, its pretty funny too, gets cold when i do it on the lift tho.
