Snowbird chairlift only pass?

I couldn't find any other threads on this, link them if they're out there.

Assuming all lifts are open, would I be able to access all of the same terrain I would have had I purchased a tram pass? Also, during late season (or any time really), does snowbird ever allow people with chairlift only passes to ride the tram?

Overall, is it worth it getting a tram pass?

This was my first year up at snowbird. I got a chairs only pass and was satisfied. On GOOD days--fresh lines--the tram line is packed; it was worth it to me, and many tourists that I spoke with, to ride the chairs on those kinds of days.

All the same terrain is accessible, but two chairs are required for some runs.

Fall/Spring days--a "Chairs Only" pass is accepted to ride the tram

Now I'm wondering: is a 12/13 pass valid for summer?

nah, this happens to me every year. i think you have to have a 13/14 pass to use it for this summer.

to OP, yeah, I have had a chairs pass for like 4 years and I like it. I hate riding the tram personally, I would rather keep my skis on. also, i always seem to get sort of sick when there's a million people packed in and it starts waving back n forth, i feel like i'm gonna vomit for some reason hahah. I love sticking to the gad 2 area the most anyways, and yeah, you can get to the cirque with other lifts. but if you wanna be the first riding the cirque on a pow day, then you need a tram pass.

ok, great answers. Thanks for the help, but talking specifically, how am I supposed to get to the runs off of high baldy traverse? Also, without mineral basin being open, is it possible to do the upper cirque runs?

Gad 2 area is where it's at.

To get to High Baldy, you have to go Gadzoom--Little Cloud--Mineral Express, then traverse over to Baldy.

Or

Peruvian--Tunnel--then hike up (not worth it)

or

Peruvian--Tunnel--Mineral Express, then over to Baldy.

Mineral opens up when the whole mountain does (when your chairs only pass stops working for the tram)

thanks man, this is just the kind of info I was looking for. I think Ill be going with chairlift only then assuming they will let me ride the tram during the late spring like every says.

you can definitely get by fine with a chairs pass, but sometimes having a tram pass can really pay off
