Snow?

My home hill is spirit mountain and I am really hyped for this season. Some forecasts are calling for cold nights next week (lower 20's F) we got like 2" inches tonight, not enough for anything at all but.... I am in the spirit for skiing now and I was wondering if ski hills can run night ops when the ground isn't frozen? And what are your home hills and what's your predictions for when we will be shredding?

It doesn't so much depend on the temperature of the ground as much as it does the air. For a resort to make snow it needs to be about 27 degrees F and low humidity!

Maybe I'll catch a few runs with ya at Spirit this year!

There was enough base to stay safe as long as you didn't go over the rocks. If you choose to ride there, don't hockey stop or make quick turns...
