Well looks like the first snow of the season is forecast for tomorrow (thursday) night and friday morning in the higher elevations. Let the ski season begin!!

 
The resorts closest to me will be opening mid-November. I might end up hiking if I can't take the wait any longer.

yeah i talked to this guy who just came back from climbing in central alaska or something and he sadi there was the beginning of a snowpack where they had set up a camp and that at night it would be like 0-10 degrees.

yeah it snowed last night in utah but didnt stick, only higher than 9000 feet though

Last year the first mountain to open was Boreal, CA around oct. 12 or so, but that was just because they got a big dump. Consistently the first resort to open in the one closest to my house, Loveland, CO usually around oct. 15. Yes it is supposed to snow a couple inches above 9,000 feet or so here in Colorado tonight.

 
it can snow as early as the 2nd weekend of october in ontario......i'm hoping it snows earlier this year......some nights it's already getting down to 4-5C

yesterday was the first day this year i saw frost on the ground and its getting cold. in a fewq weeks its gonna snow here. i cant wait any longer though, on saturday me and some friends are gonna make a jib outta the hockey rinks snow.

 
There was about an inch and a half on my porch when I woke up this morning. All of the mountains around are covered. Fuck yeah. It was cold as hell on the way home from the bar, but I had no idea this would happen. Just over a month before we should be skiing here.

 
NMA that is sweet man, snow in Breck already. I heard Loveland Pass was icy and snowpacked this morning. It was like doing this rainy drizzle thing at my house all morning and was really cold. Finally winter is coming!!!

 
I can report that it snowed in alberta also. this morning i woke up to a teeny bit of snow outside and snow on the mountains.

 
5 inches in Breckenridge this morning - even after yesterday's melted. I imagine their is almost a foot up on the mountain.

a few nights ago it was down to 1C and today it was up to 30C during the day. So I don't know when it's going to snow.

it gets cold enough to get snow in VT sometime starting in october.. mt washington have snow on it yet?

 
its starting in colorado. i guess its been snowing for 4 days in vail. conifer got a couple inches (around 8). its looking good.

we got enough to cover everything and make it beautiful in southern VT!!

fuck yes, first real snow i've seen all year since i was in europe for the october storm. my house and property just got 100x nicer
