SNOW

im pretty sure there is some sort of an inversion on monday so the mountains might not be quite as fucked as they could be.

Plus if you look at the long term trends (assuming that they aren't horribly wrong), it's just one day of warmth and then the temperature drops colder than it is now. Come on snooooooow.

let's just hope the stuff up top stays frozen on monday to get a very slight base. Winter's on its way for sure though...

It sure has been raining a lot in Vancouver today. If this is all snow in Whistler, I can't wait to look at the webcam tomorrow.

hardcore storm on Monday. 100mm of rain in one day with another 100mm possible on tuesday. again the freezing level is going to be too high, but that is a lot of precip. that long range almanac thing that said this winter was going to be below average precip just might be wrong.

Monday: Rain, at times heavy, likely ending during the day. Total 24 hour rainfall amounts likely to exceed 100mm in some areas.

The long range forecasts always change. Maybe it will change for the better, maybe for the worse, but the forecast always changes...it originally said all rain last night and today......so pay no attention to it! we've got snow now

fice inches in alpine, ive built an inrun and piled up all the snow in my yard so its insulated to make it through the warm days. i need those damn rails now

just over ficeteen feet of snow in creekside tonight.. i couldn't even open my front door!!!! early opening date might be the 10th my dad works for whistler/blackomb in the opening day department.

did anyone else notice the snow on grouse, like the huge pile of snow at the top of the cut area, i think there making snow or something

Surely you mean fifteen inches right? I really would loooove it if it opened the 10th because I have monday off from school that weekend. The rain coming in on Monday looks bad, but it looks like it's gonna get real cold from wednesday on. We'll probably get some real good snow from then on.

Oh yeah, and is there any snow on Grouse? I have a pass there this year and I really want it to open. They have a pile of snow? Hmmmm... Maybe they're blowing and putting it in piles to fight the rain. That way they can smooth it out when they want to open. That might be wishful thinking though.

the problen is that there r 2 bad days of rain...mon/tues...by tues night its will be ok ...just hope the weather holds after that so we can fucking ski damn it

Alright, fine, pardon me for trying to be optimistic and hoping he's not making up complete bullshit, haha. I just want to ski damnit.

Hey, fuck, I don't know the job's at Whistler, and someone's gotta decided when it opens. I was just trying to get some actual conversation going, but that's pretty much impossible on newschoolers.

A very strong Pacific storm will send a huge surge of warm and moist air with plenty of rain towards the region from Sunday evening to Monday afternoon. Total 24 hour rainfall amounts of 60 to 120mm can be expected across the region. Some areas such as in the Lower Fraser Valley and along the mountains may exceed 150mm by Monday afternoon.

here it comes. oh yah, FL 3000m. shiiiit.

Fraser Valley does not equal whistler... Right now whistler is expecting about 60-80 in the alpine, but that can include freezing rain. However, that is supposed to change as dryer air will keep the freezing level moving back down(to the village in fact)

yeah my fice dad works with fice devin's dad in the fice department of fice opening fice day. I heard that fice is actually ficing the fice with fice. Sounds ficey to me though fice. Ficen that ficer better fice the fice up real ficen quick fice.

today its been +1, it hasnt been raining hard all day, nothing compared to the past two days.
