Snow Watch 06/07

well when i came to school i didnt bring my skis...i had too much shit and i was still recovering from my 2nd acl reconstruction. gotta give these things time. so then i went home for thanksgiving and our mtn in montana decides to open the next weekend. well didnt want to bring my skis over for one weekend of skiing so i waited til christmas break the second weekend of december. got home for break, and it decides to snow a little bit over holidays, nothin to write home about. then i get back here and dont have a car so yeah i think any of the good days i've missed has been due to a lack of vehicle. that's my sob story for this season. kinda shitty, but its how ya work out the kinks of moving to a new area i guess.

How was the weekened skiing?? Hope this week turns out good! Might go snowmobiling on tues and ski on weds. come on SNOW...

The snow was so weird on Sunday. Sloppy, weird grainy shit on top of the layer of ice below. Was hard to set and edge sometimes and get a good turn. Twice I just hit pure ice on a turn and my skis kicked out and I busted my ass on Skyline. Was some weird stuff.

more wiered shit going on at stevens.

Baker was fun today, the six inches they got were really heavy but a good change from the ice. Forecast doesn't look to promising for the rest of the week though.

Nooooo, I moved my physics lab and made my week shitty just so I could go skiing thursday... it better not fucking rain, I'll be so pissed...

"Freezing levels will drop to 3000 feet tonight with several inches of fresh snow expected by morning, and some light snow continuing through Monday afternoon. And then it gets serious - Lots of snow with cool freezing levels, so we’re back in the powder days with up to two feet of new expected by Wednesday morning. Now we may be going out on a bit of a limb predicting the two feet of new by Wednesday but all of our forecast services are confident that that’s what will happen. So stay tuned and be ready for fresh snow!"

Bring It oN.... Tues And Wends could be good! All I ask for is a couple more pow days then I will be content. Today looked fun...Spring park goodness?

very sunny, VERY warm, and very packed. but a good day nevertheless. central park is awesome right now, although we're still missing the wall ride.

In a nut shell, expect new snow each day this week. Snow levels will range from 1500 to 3000ft – that means everybody gets the goods – you can’t miss. You’ll be skiing in falling snow most of the time -- Monday expect 3-7” of new with a 2000ft snow levels. Don’t forget your goggles. Expect new snow during the day( 3-8”) and on the increase. Everyday a powder day. Tuesday has epic potential. 8-12” new, maybe more, SL: 2000ft – do I have to say anything else? Wednesday and Thursday 4-8” each day. SL near 1500ft – can you say champagne powder? Friday could catch a break, but we’ll still see a few inches new. Be careful driving, it's winter again in the mountains. I’ll update midweek.

OH shit Need I say More!!!It's ON LIKE DONKEY KONG

FUCK. Why so I have a math test and Dodgeball playoffs on Tuesday, also a paper due Wednesday. Fuckin shit, what are the odds.

yaa, today stevens had some amazing face shots. some funky ice crust on the windblown slopes, but it got deeper all day. tomorrow could be epic with 1-2 feet additinoal....thank god for mid-winter break

snoqualmie had about 5-6 inches of heavy stuff with a lot of damp snow falling all day. hopefully it'll get cold up there tonight.

Yeah, today Stevens was amazing if you found some good stashes! There was definitely icy-death-gnar in a lot of places, but still tons of fun/face shots!

...ugh trying to decide whether I should skip tomorrow..it will no doubt be even more amazing than today

Who's going up to Stevens tomorrow? I might be skiing by myself, and I dont want to get lonely skiing untracked powder...
