Snow Watch 06/07

Haha you can skip in college. You just have to know what the class is going over that day. I skip about 5 days/quarter (give or take 1 or 2 days). Overall I'd say i'm doing fine!

until all you slackers get out of college and get crappy jobs and can NEVER go skiing.

basically if I want to take a day off to go skiing, I let my lead know and he says "have fun!" unless I need to be flying (and I need to have vacation time available, but I've got plenty).

yeaaaa i know, its probably possible for me to skip more, but the problem is is that in my english class if you are absent more than 3 times your final grade goes down. but that class is early enough (8-8:50) that i could take off after and miss calc on tues/thurs. but then i miss calc and im bad at that. bah! stupid.

you should worry about calculus more than english. English will get you nowhere in life, calculus can get you anywhere. Seriously, calculus is super important in a lot of fields.

Additionally, the job market for English Majors is super competitive because there are tons and tons English Majors out there. You have to be extremely good at English in order to get a good job in that field.

Yea man, its "core" whatever. Im a freshman and the major I'm going for is business....dont ask me what emphasis, cuz I have not a clue.

haha rowen- or more appropriately, "Venti Non-fat Vanilla Latte" we are in Seattle, dont forget it.

Augh, I forgot where I live, sorry. I live off french press now, you have no idea how fast I can get through a pound of that.

Recent snowfall statistics have revealed that this winter has indeed been a winter of TREMENDOUS SNOWFALL AND SNOWPACK at Mt. Baker! Total snowfall is at 428 inches so far which is on pace with our world record year and only 5% less to date than in 98-99. In addition, this year, we had a full winter’s worth of snowpack in just the FIRST TWO MONTHS! Details of this year’s snowfall will be posted on our website soon.

and thats why i love living in bellingham

Hope it stays cold tomorrow for the b-day skiin session. All I want is no rain thats all I ask for!! Might be a smokey park day. Sessions in the upper lot.

Well, no new snow on the way it seems, and the only precipitation will probably be rain. Has el nino finally arrived?

bastard weather. so freakin icy today. oh well skiing is skiing. still able to blow off steam. tomorrow is mine for the taking as well. jea.

i went to kirkwood yesterday, and it sucked. no snow at all.

washington has successfully stolen everyone's snow. good work people.

Yes, because of the bitter bitter cold. Even with the inversion layer thats ALWAYS at the top of skyline.

But some light dusting of snow/rain scheduled for tomorrow!

It was icy all day yesterday. I was on the backside skiing down throw some trees right on the opposite side of Tye Mill for my first run of the day and I saw a guy lose control and slide face first into a pack of trees at a high speed. I thought for sure I was gonna have to get ski patrol cause he was hauling, but he was totally fine I guess. I went up with a girl and she pretty much slide down on her ass the whole way down. I didnt fall in there but I had some real close calls, it was pretty gnar threw there. Every once in a while id go helter skelter and lose complete control and have to hold on for dear life.

but between now and then its going to be fucked. astronomical snow levels (and it wont even be all that warm in the low lands) and rain.

Haha, I check the webcam, and this is what I see...

Apparently, Stevens Pass is now featuring a space-warp time continuum up at Skyline.
