Snow Watch 05/06

kinda sucks either way... bc will be super unstable.... for a while... till it gets packed... and to do that the snow has to cycle again through a warmer type of weather...
 
the webcam looks like they got a little bit last night...

I had a nightmare last night tho.. I dremt I went up sometime this week to go skiing and it was summer at snoqualmie and the mtn was covered in grass and flowers and I was in my ski stuff and I just broke down... worst dream EVER!
 
well im scared to post this but those "long range models" are showing colder wet weather into the new year, so maybe some snow, but thats so far away...

But jesus, 58 degrees tomorrow..... I bet it gets over 60 in some spots.
 
damn, its raining hella hard, this would easily be like 20 inches of snow, if it WAS snow. Sometimes I wish that water froze at 45 degrees.
 
45 degree freezing point would be sweet, we'd have so much snow every season, like 700 inches each season and we'd be open like 2 months longer

Rest of tonight... . Cloudy. Rain or snow developing overnight. Snow level near 3500 feet. Snow accumulation 1 to 3 inches. Wind in the passes light becoming east around 10 mph after midnight.

it was looking good there for a little while. now its gone back to an iffy status

3-5 tonite, 5-8 tomorrow...saturday should be dope! today was soooper nice in the morning, till the gay ass scrapers and gapers took over everything. park was prime as well
 
I only hit crust once or twice. maybe i'm light enough. but, it was so sweet opening it up.

big chief bowl off the ridge can be siiick. or ski a little ways under double diamond then drop in some of those chutes (not the main one) can be loads of fun and very deep

coverage is good
 
Goddamn, yesterday was awesome, but then turned to shit at night. Found some untracked above skyline/hogsback area, but it got so thick and sticky that i couldnt turn in it. Should be better by saturday...
 
today was amaizing at alpental and then everybody left after about 11. but then when sean and i went to leave at 4ish they decided to close i90 because people are such fucking dumb asses and don't know how the fuck to drive! so we sat in the 4runner for an hour and a half listening to the truckers on the CB. those guys are so weird. but alpental was awsome best day of the season. if it weren't for utah last winter i would say best day in the last 2 years.
 
yeah, seems like every single run today we found untracked snow, and it was real good snow too. quite the fun day.
 
ahhh, saturday was good @ stevens. lot o snow, it was a bit heavy though, but i'm not complaining...

wednesday was my favorite for this week though. its been a good winter break
