theres no fucking way you had that much ice.

think about it. It would have to be layed down in layers. Like rain, freeze, rain, freeze. I'd say for each freeze you'd get a max of 1/8-1/4inch TOPS, and it would take a few hours. It would take weeks to get 16 inches of solid ice on a car.

i think from what i'm seeing on webcams it looks like stevens pass is in the lead for snow coverage

i wish baker had a web cam

"The other area that will receive above-average snowfall is the mountains of the Pacific Northwest, a welcome change from the dry winter of 2004-2005. The assumption is that the warm water south of Alaska will push storms into the region, so that even if it is milder than normal, it snows more. The warmer-than-normal temperatures, combined with moisture-starved storms, will result in below-normal snowfall in the Plains. "

So we get it already, its gonna be good. Get with the snow-making. Everybody pray to Jesus and Rasta, for only when they combine will we get snowfall.

Only thing thats dodgy, is that often the freezing level is RIGHT at the base of snoqualmie. Precipitation is 50% of the time very wet snow/rain.

According to that AccuWeather thing, we will experience 2-3 degrees above average temperatures this winter. Which is enough to raise the freezing level to JUST above the top of Alpental.

Great.

The stereo in my old Subaru (granted I could have kept that stereo, but I opted to sell it) had NOAA Weather Band on it, it was so cool. (it was an OEM subaru head unit).

i dont really think its that heavy unless it had just rained or we got a really warm dump. Normally during the season its not too bad. even at the end of last season is wasnt bad....the last day that stevens was open it was nice a fluffy. but think about it this way, its easier to build a big kicker with heavy dense snow!!

wow, you realize thats TWO WEEKS. And they've already got a pretty good start, I wouldn't doubt if they actually did start that day.

Thats Veterans Day too, I'm going. We're ALL GOING.

I dunno... lotta shit can happen in two weeks... that is amazing though.

I am so excited. I need to get my ski's up here!

OH I MISREAD IT.

It says NOVEMBER 11th - OPENING DAY

but it just means 11th through opening day is the updates.

I was so exited for a while, jerks. at least there is snow.

wow, stevens is looking like its actually winter time......i dont think illl be going to paradise next weekend, just stevens and or snoqualmie to hit some sick rails

wow, danS, you have dissapointed me thoroughly. You're right though, its just November 11th through Opening day. But still, sounds like they're gonna keep getting consistent snow for the next few weeks, so it might not be much longer than that!
