Im super excited as im sure everyone else is for the beginning of the season.. Im dedicated to snow trails and everything they do for our park and our riders. there's one thing though about last year that i can think of to be corrected. at the beginning of the season, every day, the park was in pristine shape for all ride right off the bat. gaps onto the boxes, perfectly groomed llips, and everything was sooo nice. as the season wore on, everything was still nice, but it wasnt how it used to be. the snow went right up to the boxes, no jump, no gap, the take offs were rutted from right off the bat, it just wasnt how it used to be. most saturdays the park was in perfect shape again, but when i have a wrestling tournament every saturday, or someone else might have other commitments, we didnt see the park at its full potential. im sure there was probably a good reason, ie money, gas, something that maybe the park couldnt ALWAYS be in tip top shape. im just kinda offering my opinion in one way that things could get better. im excited for a new season! try and keep us posted.

Sorta on the topic of this thread........ i have a few questions about the trails this winter. I've the president of our stupid ski club at school, and i decided we need to take a trip to the trails...... what i wanna know is, are their any definate competition dates, or special events yet? (i like to organize things around that kinda stuff). also, what is the name of those little condos next to the hill, that you can rent out. On the lodging section of the snowtrails site, i couldn't find them. they were so rad...... Any details, or anything please tell me, or PM me.

spruce hill cottages...i dont know of any definite dates yet, but they will be up soon.

Spruce Hill i think rents for like 100 dollars a night for just a normal condo, one room type thing. They are a blast though. I can't wait for winter this year for some reason i just feel its going to be an amazing one. And spencer I'm still mad at you for punching me in the face at our show....i'm going to get you back one of these days! Just kidding, i'm not mad at you but i am going to get you back.

really sorry if anyone thought that the park was better some days than others, but ohio snow doesnt lend itself to a lot of maintenance. all i can say is that i truly believe that this winter will put snow trails on the map. we got an awesome start last year, but weather cooperating, this year will bring things that have never been seen in ohio. now all i need to do is figure out how to get off this island.

 
you coming back to the states this winter? We got a group of kids that wanna throw down on donating 1 or 2 rails to snowtrails. One would include something like marquette had. Their step up rail was soooo sick!

i am sooo stoked for this winter, everything that is happening right now with ohio freestyle and snowtrails is gonna make this season nothing short of amazing! i hope you are comin back westover, we miss you!

haha a person like westover deserves a welcome home party. He went somewhere in the summer to a place thats known for park. The fact that he'd even consider moving back to Mansfield, OH from new zealand is amazing. He should have alot more to offer....

^ nice pun!. and i dind't even get to go to snowtrails last year. Sucks that PNS had a rail jam the same day as the trails. we should try to avoid that this winter.

If the GrapeVine correct... and it always is Thadd gave complete controll of the park to westover, noting but good things can come of this...

with natural gas prices rising as
 
with natural gas prices rising as fast as regular gas prices... mabey we can use the TetterTatter rail to fuel the fireplace in the lodge to save money
 
Damn it why did i have to move farther from snow trails im goin to waste so much on gas $ making the trip this season!!!
 
good idea derrin, but its a wood burning fireplace, so the gas prices shouldn't really affect it too much.
 
exactly my point... burn the TetterTatter rail to heat the lodge so the regular heater woult run as much = lowere gas bill i thought u were smarter than that mark
