Snow this morning...

yes it did. at about 10:30 last night when we got a little rain, it was snowing at bridger. the crazy's have had snow for about 3 weeks

right now its 37 and drizzling in great falls so hopefully it will snow tonight or at least the mountains will get some

It was trying to snow two nights ago in Bozeman. Unfortunately I was three miles from my house on my bike and it was midnight, so needless to say I wasn't too stoked about the situation.

It's all gone now. It's supposed to get cold in the next couple of days though so hopefully we will get some real snow soon.

good news... i have always wanted to hit up great divide when they had good snow. and when do you think they will start blowing snow?

i remember back in the day (when I was 12 or 13) the great divide owner said that they could open by halloween

It was snowing up at big sky on my last run mountain biking but not at the bottom, the weather says its supposed to snow all night up there though

dude word on the street is that Joe Pope is going to be working for great divide this year, i guess he quit big sky....can anyone confirm this?

never mind the conformation, my bro just told me the full story....HE IS...straight from his mouth...

FUCK. I am so psyched for ski season, and stuck in a place where it will snow maybe once in town this year.

Montana is the shit. Seriously.

this full story i would like to know... i knew we were getting somebody, but wasnt sure who. and i swear to god, if he does anything like big skys park was last year. i will murder him.

well here is the story: my bro was waiting for me at BOB's bar in nieheart last night and i got there picked him up and he said joe pope was in there and i wa like wtf? i dont know what he looks like you shouldve pointed hom out to me... and anyways my dad goes to bobs after andy and i leave for the cabin and Jim gold introduces my dad to pope and pope said he got fed up w/ big sky and is gunna work there....Long story short he is gunna be working there cuz im guessing big sky didnt let him do what he wanted.

(this is exactly what i just told LMP in a PM so if there are any loose ends ask away)

He is the dude that is responsible for building shodowns park 5-7 years ago when it was super dope and having the BURTON PRO TEAM come to shodown and throw down 6 years ago when i was in 7th grade. He did alot of good when he was at showdown and I am pretty sure he said that he designed or helped build the great divide park the year you guys had the mine shaft thing at the bottom of the park. As far as the Big SKy park last time I talked to him at Big Sky he said something like "Everyday brings a new challenge for me to build what I want" Not sure if he was referring to mountain management or what but I would like him to build my mountain's park. I will be at great Divide alot this year.

maybe that will work.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure they got a new manager.

Was anyone up there this weekend that can give us a first-hand account of snowfall, weather, etc.

Dude Pope sucked dick. I didn't know the guy, but I met him vicariously through his terrain park. Last years park at big sky sucked some dick. I understand they didn't have that much snow to work with, but the park was never maintained and they still had the exact same features as they did for the 2 years before last season. Moonlight's park eclipsed Big Sky's and it was their first one, built by a kid two years out of high school.

when pope was at showdown they had the best park in the state... then when he left showdown went wayyyyy down hill (park wise)

Well I don't know what was going on at big sky then, because regardless of what the management allowed, the upkeep and condition of the park were still pathetic along with the flow and planning.

i agree.. i go to big sky like once a year...and the park was better than the park showdown had but the "bigger park" did have a few sick jumps but no flow.....it seems like every time i go to big sky i like the mini park cuz of the flow.

I'm going to be pissed if it snows much more because all the snow will do is rot until it's winter. We really don't need a repeat of last year's snow stability.

great divide had a foot to foot and half the other day. friday i think. and i buddy of mine went up mcdonald pass and said they had a foot and half too. ( i think he was over exagerating...) but the season is here!!!

that is sweet! they already beat last years snowfall. Haha Joking. Have they started blowing snow yet?

i heard of kids getting face shots at bridger on sunday, could have been an exageration, but I prefer to think not.
