im heading out to snow summit/bear this year. My brothers girlfriend has a condo there, I wanted to know when the best time to head out to the cali mountains is. Cause I know in the east coast, depending on the time, the parks can be real good sometimes and bad other times. Are the parks the same (quality wise) in december compared to that in like march/april? And, if anyone wants to ride together, holler... i will probably be out in december if it works out good

january-march are peak times. not everything will be up the beggining of the season. it will be slow water skiing during the end of the season. end of december should be alright. but really anytime you go its still good if your into park.

cheak the website www.bearmtn.com

yep, 99 percent cocky snowboarders too. there is only like 5 skiers a day there. but the id say its still worth it. just show them up and youll do fine

i got in 47 days last year at summit, the best time to go is A if theres a comp like siad previoulsy of ne time in february or later. it takes em a while to build up because 95% of their snow is blown, also go to bear snow summit sucks since they bought bear mtn last year

one good thing about all of the snowboarders is that alot of them will think you rock if you can like do a 180- it's kind of sad but it's a good confidence builder being told by a bunch of cocky dudes that you are good but there are still (like always) those ass holes who think they are cool and will bag on you because you are a 2 planker.--the best time to hit the park is like a day after a bunch of cold nights or a big storm because then the park is clean, packed, and groomed but you have to hit it in the morning because the stupid people kill the hits by like 1 or 2.One problem with summit and bear is that alot of the ground gets super icy because of the warm days and cold nights so if you bail- it hurts really bad- see ya up there.

Just say F@$# it and huck it!
