Snow on Gore

So, it looks like the top of Gore has snow right now. I'm assuming it snowed on the summit the past two nights going by what's on the the website. http://www.goremountain.com/mountain/photos.cfm?mode=archive

Looks like a nice layer of snow up there. Call me crazy, but I'm actually considering hiking up. DEC site says the Schaffer trail is closed. Is it still possible to hike anyway?
 
Not worth it. There was only like 4inches. They are suppose to keep getting a dusting each night this week, but thats still not enough to cover rocks and stuff. Plus They may not let you on the mountain now cause they are still doing work on it, but they are probably past that stage now.
 
any one know if gore's actually going to have a park at the ski bowl...i saw they claim to be having a pipe, anyone know if this is goin down
 
I think it will most likely be just the pipe, and maybe some smaller features. I don't really think they could fit much of a park in there.
 
there will be a park at the ski bowl. They are ordering new stuff soon, so say what you want to see. They probably won't have to much of it until later in the season is my guess. But who knows they say this every year and somehow fall though. However I have my hopes up for this year, they seem much more interested. They have take bids from companies, and picked out a few features that they want.4

They have put wayyy to much money into the ski bowl, to not use it. I just hope that kids show up there, cause it is off the actual mountain. Night park could be mad fun, but nobody lives near North Creek, so most kids end up going to west, so hopefully that changes.
