Snow in the east tomorrow ( CONNECTICUT RIDERS)

We are supposed to get some snow thursday night here in Connecticut, they say as if maybe a half a foot in some places. I am trying to get some people together at Powder Ridge, friday and saturday. This is probably one of the last chances to get some good riding down Anyone else going to be there?

i just got that storm in Michigan. It was nice. It'll probably pick up some more snow when it crosses the lakes. Have fun. I know I did.

hey does powder ridge have anything worth going to, and is it easy toget up the lift w/o a ticket, thanks

 
dude i didnt buy a ticket all year and went about a dozen times. the park is decent for a connecticut mountain, could be good in pow

 
josh, the park is decent when it is groomed, but i heard they recently closed down all the rails, i don't know if they are back up. And some people care ifyou have a ticket, some don't. I went one time and one guy never checks tickets, he said something like 'I assume you all bought tickets because it is pretty pathetic to poach powder ridge' and another guy made you go to the back of the line if you didn;t have your ticket visible.

ya on the website it says that the jib park is up, but who knows, im going to call them today see whats up with the jib park and jumps and ill keep ya posted

I was there 2 weeks ago, and It had: 30 foot straight rail, 10 foot kinked disaster rail, 18 foot kinked rail ( real high off the ground) like a 5 foot little flat rail.... and I would say there is about 8 kickers, 2 spines, 1 huge kicker, a half pipe that sucks balls cause they never groom it.... I mean for 20 bucks, you really can't beat it, plus the drive is wicked easy to get there... Im assuming tommorow is goin to be real nice with all this snow..

haha w000000t snoooowwww!! :):) skiing... tomorrow, saturday and sunday, im thinkin the ridge tomorrow.

Sundown has a nice straight rail, a nice battleship rail, they had a 4 kink but they might've taken it down, and a nice table... I would actually recommend it.

 
by saying 'huge' kicker, what does that mean, and how are the landings on these things, can i do more than a 180 on them? -thanks

 
usually the landings on the jumps are pretty icey towards the end of the day, but they arent that bad. Especially tommorow with all this snow, they should be pretty decent if they groom up the park.. The 'huge' kicker i would say is prolly 30-40 feet, i could be wrong though so if i am someone clarify me...

Closer to a 25 footer. Earlier in the season, the first table was really nice after they blew snow for what seemed like 3 days straight. Softest landing I've ever seen, but then they cut the size down on it and opened everything else. I'd say it's second to Woodbury for best jibbing in CT.

 
Also, tomorrow they have the state competiton for high school racing at night, so it's not only going to be packed, but it'll be filled with racers hitting the park who have no clue what they're doing. I'll be there seshing it too.

 
nice, it seems as if there will be alot of people there tomorrow.... anyone wanna meet up? or just ride and see whats up?
