Could it be true?

well it normally snows in November in Colorado, so I want snow

The previous forecast was a warm storm going across the upper US and it changed to a cold front going across middle US. Thats what it is

last years early season was actually decent, not really much powder, but we got a good amount of snow pretty damn early, then december-end of the season nothing happened. so im just hoping its the opposite, shitty early season, awesome middle-late season

This. Last year Wolf creek got over 50 inches in October and over 100 in November. This year they have 22. I hate to say it but as of now it's worse than last year.

It is worse then last year, but it looks now as if the the weather is starting to change for the better. I know we are only supposed to see 6-7 inches over the next few days but its a start, there is cold front coming in, and there is something brewing the eastern pacific. Keep your fingers crossed, this could all be made up by one or two nice sized storms.

Pattern is changing. That map is a joke that you posted.

We will have quite a few series of storms come through over the next 10+ days, but none of them have a lot of moisture. Small amounts of snow, lots of cold. Cold is good.

dude what ever, at least you guys got sandy. fucking it has yet to snow in co this winter. there is no snow :(((((

haha you're pissed we got sandy????

You could have taken it any day, there wasnt any snow really associated with it and it paralized the city-and messed shit up, our wall street office is still closed, no idea when it will open again

dude what ever, once winter picks up you guys have arguably some of the best skiing in the world. Quit bitching. All i got was rain and wind from sandy. stfu.

I think it means that sometime during December, a fucking giant blue and gold fish will jump out of the Pacific, over North America, and tail slap the shit out of the east coast before reentering in the Atlantic Ocean.

a couple days ago i got to go skiing in 67 degree weather. I think thats the hottest I've skied in.

Colorado would have gladly taken sandy to reduce that damage... omg that would be great. i wish hurrricanes came to the rockies...

That would probably fuck over the whole season though right? doesn't excessive snowfall bring higher avalanche conditions and with the steeper terrain it would close a lot of stuff even in resorts? please correct me if i'm wrong about avalanche stuff.

I'm really not concerned about too much snow. If several advanced terrain trails/lines get blocked off because of avalanche danger, there will be plenty of other slopes to make everybody cheery.

I have never understood this argument. If we don't get the snow now, it's not like we're going to get it in the spring. I'd rather have a couple trails closed due to avalanche danger now than only have 5% of the mountain open.

These hurricane sandy comments are redic.

And yeah, its about time Colorado saw some stuff. I don't care if it snows only 1 inch a day, it needs to start happening.
