its true. usgs just released this graphic warning of outfall potential.

Yeah. They're keeping it on the downlow because they don't want all of Seattle freaking out and evacuating at once.

Mount Baker is a large, active, andesitic stratovolcano, rising to an elevation of 3285 m in the Cascade Range of northern Washington State. Its summit is approximately 100 km southeast of downtown Vancouver, British Columbia, 30 km south of the Canada-United States border, and 50 km due south of Chilliwack, British Columbia. It is visible on clear days from high points throughout this part of southwestern British Columbia.

Mount Baker is the largest volcanic complex in the northern part of the Cascade volcanic arc. Its volume is estimated at 72 km³ and it supports one of the largest geothermal fields in the Cascade Range. The geothermal field found near the summit in the 450 m wide Sherman Crater periodically produces clouds of steam from hot springs and fumaroles. On clear still days, the steam is prominently visible.

that sucked pretty hard. this year im just gonna throw on some snow shoes and hike it once we get 15 inches, no more of this bullshit waiting for the chairs to open crap

Tonight was the first night in months that it was cold enough for me to wear a hoody. Also the big tree at the end of my street is starting to lose its leaves.
