Snoqualmie/alpental are still open

Yep. Parks super sick and they have now pushed back the closing date 3 consecutive weeks in a row. And the pass is still getting small amounts of snow here and there. pnw is the shit.
 
yea but the more ppl that come the more snoqualmie will be pushed to stay open longer....i could def go one more weekend...it not two even.
 
Are you kidding me? The PNW is horrible, dont come here, complete waste of money. I mean, unless you like skiing in the rain and all. Everyone knows all it ever does is rain in PNW~
 
this guy couldn't be more right. don't waste your time or money. you won't like this place at all. just stay wherever you're at. its probably raining here. seriously.
 
hmmmm, next sunday is mother's day, and my parents live at snoqualmie pass, and I don't have to work until four... so there is a chance that even I, the legend that is the toofster, will be up there on Sunday. Intriguing...

yo i was in the parking lot for like a half hour just takin my time and gettin my shit together and havin a little bit to drink waiting for people to show up and nobody was there. i tried to let everyone know what i was gonna wear so if someone saw me that i didnt know they could say whats up, but i got nothin. plus the bc was closed again, so idk. i guess its this weekend
 
Yes this weekend! Now that Central is closed,, we have no choice! Should find something out of the way and easy to get to maybe in-bounds? BC will most likely be closed again, but if we get caught I guess they could take our last day away. Anyone have a single Armada JP vs. Julien laying around? 178 from 06-07? Or a pair of something similar for sale?
 
i was searching each boarder for a white board with purple bindings in the base during the morning.

the BC was open on sunday. super sketch. honestly there was a natural release about every 5 minutes.

still the idiots we out in full force: first place was a group of older skier dudes (without avy gear) standing on piss pass proclaiming how alpy BC "isn't dangerous because the high traverse is less difficult than hiking up the king at crystal". second place goes to a group of younger boarder dudes (without avy gear) choosing to slideslip trashcan all in a group despite the fact everything was cutting out under them because going one at a time was "hella stupid".

I should be up there both days to get her done and have some fun. What V encountered was your typical "know it alls" that have senseless notions on why something is safe and havent taken any rules on Avy safety. We have all taken chances and mabe done some stupid shit, but hopefully Everyone coming up to the BC should have their gear on and working, and people need to be on the same page when it comes to who does and doesn't have gear, so we can watch after one another. And if you dont want to get hasseled, take the 2 minutes to get your BC card! Can I get a 10:4 on that people or am I going to continue to talk at myself on this NS site that sounds like a bunch of none local Alpy Old Schoolers.
 
Most didn't make it last weekend because the park was open, I was told Central is definatley closed for the season . And how could anyone blame us, it was the last chance to get something accomplished in the park , which didn't go so great for me , but I had alot of fun as usuall. So where are we going to meet on Sat?? Sushi !! You still have that grill? To get at least 6 people up to build should be easy? I think
 
yeah like I said, its a really small thing, not even a grill, more like something you would use to make soup or soemthing by putting pots/pans on it. I have this metal mesh thing I use kind of as a grill.

someone is going to need to show me a round. never been in Alpy BC. I just started skiing a lot this season so im new to everything. And I need a pass, the problem is I'm not sure if i can pass as 18 years old. ...
 
I never thought of it! You have to be 18 before they will give you a BC pass? Well like Scott said if you at least have one on you, I could give you my brothers,, he isn't coming up this weekend. At least you can say you have one even though it's not legit. Ive never had to actually show mine , but its nice to say "Yes" i have one when they ask! They just want you on record and liability released, they never required me or my brother to take a tour before I got one, just went in the shack, signed the form and was given a card, Oh and unlike Baker,, Gear is only recommended,, not required,, But you'd be kind of foolish to not have that stuff on and working. They are more worried about having a partner to watch eachother than anything.
 
Sushi has to have some friends that know the BC, dont ya? Call all those bad asses that you ride with in the park! I can have 2 or 3 behind me that hopefully know the ropes. There is nothing I am worried about more than people who dont know the ropes ,following me as if Im their guide. Then I feel responsible and I never leave a man behind, then it kinda messes with my flow. But Im sure we will find an easy spot that is safe from slides and traffic.
