Snoqualmie 11-12

Good for early season, but don't come expecting either a massive park or jumps. Also there are no normal rails up there, just boxes and tubes.

maybe its just cause of the frustration last weekend on them, but I want something besides fucking tubes.

The best those features will look will be on paper. If it isn't for a photo shoot or boarder comp, it always gets bungled

I was there yesterday. Only the lower half was open but they finally fenced off the upper so that should open soon.

Up top they have:

- up-flat-down box

- down bar and a down rail

- down-flat tube and down-flat-down tube.

Like I said, that wasn't open yet.

Lower section has:

- cannon tube, flat tube, dance floor

- flat tube and flat box

- massive green barrel/pill set up on a hip/table-top feature

- tiny stepover jump

- long flat tube and down rail

Overall pretty fun and actually has a nice flow.

i will be up saturday.

first question is if it will be even worth going to alpy after all these high temps and rain (im more of a freeride skier rather than park). or should i just cruise the park?

secondly, if i go to alpental does anyone know how things are up there? would it be worth bringing pow skis or jshould i ust ride my park skis if i go?

summit today was cool. Had about 6 new jibs set up and had some good flow. I caught edge on just about everything, my edges are so sharp, haha but a good day regardless.

Opening night was kinda lame. Someone on the crew blew the fusebox to the lights and theyre out for a few days now, so dont expect to be hitting the park after 4.

Nice. Not too poppy, but definitely fun.. Speed was real good coming into them, so you could carve in no problem.

eh. i found it to be different. no checks, maybe one turn into the 1st or else knuck. and then like 3 check into the second or overshoot.

Has anybody ridden the chutes skier's right of triple 60 at Central? I just noticed them on Sunday for the first time. Patrol had them shut off and the snow was pretty sketchy, but they look like good lines once they fill in some.

If its at central, someone has skied it. That being said, they are fun on pow days. That also being said, what the hell are you doing at central on a pow day.

the few pow days i have spent at west have actually been loads of fun because the terrain is not too bad over at wildside and in the trees behind 360 bowl and youve got the whole hill to tourself because everyones at alpy.

I normally avoid Central like the plague and I saw the chutes over the weekend while screwing around on the groomers. I'm sure plenty of people have ridden them. Wanted to see if anybody here had firsthand been in them this season to see if there is enough coverage. I don't want to fuck up my bases.
