And yes, not having a pipe when they have a huge area blocked off with dirt work and a set of lights means I have to hate.

I don't know if you figured out what skis were yet, but back in a dark dark season, when snoqualmie never actually opened, they had that pipe up and running on Friday nights. There is no excuse for not having it up and running by mid Jan. The park crew could measure the national debt on one hands with their incompetence as a scale.

 
You do realize they settled in november to not open the pipe this year? It's not like they're trying to open it and can't.

 
It was because the pipe was supposedly a piece of shit every year prior so it made no sense to maintain it this year. I think eventually the dirt foundation will be taken out and the space will be used for other jibs or a better jump line.
 
It was a piece of shit since they were to lazy to maintain it on a regular basis, but if you got it the day after they cut it, it was prime.
 
so now that you can't do that anymore, you get all pissy in a thread thats not even about your home mountain? i haven't seen you complaining about stevens not having a pipe, why not?
 
The Stevens pipe has never been more than a waste of space.

And I skied/rode snoqualmie/Alpental on a weekly basis for 16 years, which is 3 times as long as I have been calling Stevens home. FWIW, I think Snoqualmie is less commuted to their terrain park now than they were ten years ago.
 
so why aren't you telling stevens to get a better pipe?

That was the problem, that area is terrible for a pipe, there are very few places at Stevens that have the a good sustained slope for a half pipe.
 
You really cant say this tho give you pretty much exclusively ride stevens, almost never rider park and only get your info from word of mouth/internet.

And for the last time, snoqualmie is selling their zaug cutter. That decision was made at the beginning of the year.

But you do raise a great point, Snoqualmie has all the infrastructure for a kick ass half pipe (Lights arn't cheap!) yet for some odd reason they've stopped giving us what we've paid for. I woulda killed for a pipe this year!
