Snoqualmie 10-11

a slopestyle event would be sick. the only problem is snoqualmie's park is based so much on snowboarding so there is snowboarding competitions basically once every other month

i thought they already did one for skiing this year? job this jib that. I heard very little about it.

there should be more, though. it's too bad it would be so difficult to just do ourselves. make our own brackets or something.

Yes, they had Jib That!, a skier rail jam about a month ago. Pretzels and Polish Donuts will be in March, which is usually host to a jump (last year at West), or the big jump line at Central (the years before) in addition to a fun rail setup.

To JRyder: it's not that the park is too much "based around snowboarding," just no ski companies have come forward to help facilitate a competition. They can make a "course" for us if we get sponsors. Simple as that.

if i can remember right, last year early season there was only two jumps in the "big" jump line like right now. Then they made the third step ups, which i happened to like. Do u guys no if they will be doing that again?

They did, but the we blew it for ourselves when everyone ditched the comp to take laps. I hope that people understand that we can't just sit here and bitch about them not giving us comps if when they finally give us one only 38 people sign up and then only about 10 stay and hike the comp... I understand that the features they had set up were a little bit on the more technical side but you have to understand that the reason companies wont support comps, and krush is reluctant to put them on is that they dont beleive that we will have the turn out, and Jib that did nothing but confirm that for them.

I have to agree with this completely. I wasn't at Jib That! due to family stuff, but without a big turnout, we'll get nowhere...

i quote myself:

one complaint tho, all the features seemed pretty steep and untrickable. i mean sure there were guys throwin down anyway, but it seems like the event would have been more competitive had they put in one or two more trickable options

i agree fully with this. i think all we can do now is at the next comp they give us we need to get as many people there as possible AKA PPD also if anyone really wants to get involved i know that K2, line and fulltilt are all based out of seattle. im sure if we explained what we are trying to do they would probabley love to help us out. if you guys want me to talk to them sometime i could definetly do that. but i think the main thing is to show up to the comps and make it worth while for them to give us events.

yea next comp i want an up dance box. a flat box and a trash can bonk to get extra tech on. that d be the shit.

sickest shit out there man. a box thats so wide you can literally dance on it. im gonna be pissed if they put one up thats more than 10ft long and less than 11ft wide. i like boxes especially when the dimensions resemble a chode.

i have to disagree, they were all very trickable just not for all ability levels. if they had but one feature in there that wasnt a down feature with a side jump on alot more people woulda done it.

they took out the angled box near the bottom and then the flat box after that too. and then up top they took out the c box and the flat tube.

where tube flat tube line used to be they put in a rail line with two sides skiers right is the flat down with ledges on the side (but its go a whack take of), into a pill capsule, into the aframe. skiers left is a down box, up butter box and then a up down box

Friday night almost made me cry. the park one was one huge puddle and it looked like a cat demolished the landing to the second jump. Today was a ton better tho, they fixed the landing and we got snow. Next week should be back to normal.

That was soo fun tonight! hardpack/viy in paces to face shots in 2 hours... it was fucking nuking up there!

im so jealous of all of you while i sit here patiently waiting for my fractured fibula and torn MCL to heal

Today was amazing. The snow seemed endless...

And Nick, I'm really sorry about that bud. You gonna be back on skis soon?

FUCKIN TWO FEET OF POW AND SHIT

today was insane. bc got pounded, i got second chair on 2

soooo much fun

i was night skiing last year and on my way over to west to get a beer, i fell on some ice nice and easy. seperated my shoulder. it was fuckin dumb as shit but it ended my season

nice man, take the rehab seriously cuz i didn't and my left shoulder will NEVER be the same. it pops and cracks every time i move it and i feel like it'll injure way easier now. good luck with your shoulder man i feel your pain
