Snoqualmie 10-11

If the forcast is accurate do you guys think will be skiing by thanksgiving weekend?

I'm prayin for it so hopefully it'll come true

most likely not. id have to say theyll have opening day some time during the first week of december if the forecast is correct. even then, itll be the earliest they've opened in years. who's up for some pre-steezin?

Drove up to Alpental this evening to take a look at the accumulation. See for yourself...

Last friday me and a few buds set up jibs at the base of central lift, so if anyone wants to jib its there, its dumping right now.

Definitely a foot or so fell today. Compared to the snow I encountered last night, today was much deeper on the roads/trails I was driving on. I-90 West was a shit-show from the summit back down.

Probably not, last year on opening day a few snowboarders were hitting a rail they made and the police took one of their season passes and almost took the guy's board. But we all know that a skier does not accept that kind of shit.

last season there were jibs, i can't remember if it was opening day or the following week though. anyways, lets hope theres a bit more cover at west than at crystal opening day

holy snow batman. this is the first time in years it's snowed before thanksgiving AND stuck! i've been stranded in issaquah for a couple days. shoulda got my car fixed, the motorcycle is not gonna cut it. can't wait to hit up alpy! go la nina

Talked to one of my buddies on park crew. they aren't going to have jibs up tommorow but they are planning on it for friday and the rest of the weekend

HAVE FAIRLY HIGH CONFIDENCE THEWASHINGTON CASCADE EAST SLOPES AND THE BLUE MOUNTAINS WILL SEESIGNIFICANT SNOWFALL. LOWER ELEVATION SNOW AMOUNTS ARE LESSCERTAIN DUE TO A COMPLEX VERTICAL TEMPERATURE PROFILE AND VARYINGLOCATIONS OF MAXIMUM PRECIPITATION AS DEPICTED BY RECENT WEATHERMODEL RUNS. THE LOWER COLUMBIA BASIN AND ADJOINING AREAS,INCLUDING THE COLUMBIA RIVER GORGE, MAY SEE A SHORT PERIOD OFFREEZING RAIN LATE MONDAY NIGHT AND TUESDAY MORNING.
